Back in October, we worked on the costume design for @divineanimal_play with @warrior.babe through @upcycling.againsthemachine 🤩
We created looks for all three characters… but I couldn’t resist adding some plastic into the mix.

I want to share some of the collages you created during the interactive installation at @upcycling.againsthemachine

The installation was called Plastiquitos al sol - Plastic Laundry Day, referencing “sacar los trapitos al sol”, a popular saying from Rioplatense Spanish used in Argentina and Uruguay. The phrase means to bring into the open what is usually kept hidden, to expose uncomfortable truths, contradictions, or things we prefer not to show, similar to the idea of airing dirty laundry.

The installation invited festival participants to take a moment inside the space, pick up a piece of plastic, and turn it into collage. Working with plastic can be uncomfortable, but the process was approached as a safe and creative moment of free expression, where making became a way to process and release ideas and emotions.

Bringing outside whatever needed to be said, from guilt as plastic consumers, to openly admitting that we are still plastic consumers, even if we care about climate change.

It was a space to speak about it, to take small actions.

Before 2025 is gone, let’s remember and celebrate a bit of what we learned, what we achieved, and how much we grew.
What a year…
What a life ✨

And remember…
Upcycling is not a trend — it’s a repair action, an anti-capitalist and artistic movement ☺️😌❤️‍🔥🪡

And of course, we will reclaim it as many times as necessary.
