@eatatdahlia’s brown butter chocolate chip cookie latte is one of the best specialty coffees I’ve had this year ☕️ As someone who normally drinks their coffee black, a lot of specialty lattes are way too sweet for my palate, but this one is simply perfection. The pinch of salt in it really helps balance the whole thing out and the oatmilk I opted for added a nice additional depth of flavor to it. Highly recommend!

@50thandfrance’s Summer Restaurant Week officially kicks off today & I couldn’t wait to try the Explore India flight from @cornercafeon50th ☕️

The Corner Cafe recently opened a walk-up coffee window on their beautiful, flower-filled patio, making it easy to grab & go this summer.

From June 22 - June 28, they are featuring the Explore India flight: a teddy bear latte (brown sugar, honey, cinnamon), lemon drop matcha, and a classic mango lassi. I love that they serve @spyhousecoffee as well as treats from @rusticabakery here!

The cafe is nestled in the sunny southwest corner of @raagon50th and open every day until 2pm, when the restaurant flips for evening service. Raag also has some great specials this week, like a $25 lunch for two or $45 dinner for two, plus BOGO wine & beer.

I love Restaurant Week, it’s such a great opportunity to try new spots - drop a comment below of where I should try next!

Headed west on a day trip towards Baní and decided to check out a winery that a friend recommended. Imagine our surprise when we discovered @ocoabayrd, a gorgeous eco-resort overlooking Bahia de Ocoa. It features 23 acres of vines and is the only vineyard in the Caribbean.

I started with a glass of their specialty, KiBay, a naturally fermented, low ABV tropical drink made with mango and passion fruit. It was light, fruity, and perfect to sip on in the late afternoon heat.

It was a hot day so we jumped into the infinity pool overlooking the bay and ordered another round at the swim up bar. Sipping a sangria while floating around in the sunshine was the perfect way to spend an afternoon ☀️

Special thanks to @courtneyleahwinterhill & @adamwinterhill for being excellent adventure buddies and planning this outing 🩵 taken in OcoaBay by @mar_buckley

The best poutine I ate in Montreal was undoubtedly the upscale version at Restaurant Au Pied de Cochon. They start with a layer of fresh cheese curds, seared on a ripping hot plate straight out of the broiler, then topped with perfectly crisp duck fat fries, a decadent slab of seared foie gras, rich foie sauce, and classic brown gravy. It was the kind of dish that keeps you coming back for just one more bite until the plate is empty.

Foie gras is one of the house specialties at PDC, and with an entire section of the menu devoted to it, it’s easy to see why this Michelin-recommended institution became a must-visit dining experience in Quebec.

From my seat at the chef’s counter, I had a front-row spot to the action - chefs moving with practiced precision as the dishes were expo’d in a seamless blend of French and English. The Michelin Guide was accurate when describing the energy of the kitchen as palpable - such a fun dining experience!

To finish off my first evening in Montreal, I tried pouding chômeur, an essential Quebecoise dessert. Originally conceived during the Great Depression, it is made with a simple batter baked in a pool of maple syrup, creating a very sweet self-saucing cake. I am glad to have gotten to try such a staple of the region, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste buds. taken in Au Pied de Cochon by @mar_buckley
