My dignified soul. That is the "guardian angel", the force, that I harnessed in me to fight through the waves of stigma, harassment, discrimination, and hate, even to the point of I, receiving death threats, coming from a deeply-broken society, a price one has to pay when someone holds the line and pushes boundary.
I held on to this solemn compass of my humanity in dealing with shame and marginalization. I don't know how I did it but I was glad I did because through this divine force in me, I was able to turn trash into gold when it led to the creation of the first of it's kind city-ordinance that became a landmark for the law-makers in the Philippines, just like a flower that suddenly blooms from a dessert where we are thirsting of treatment with equity.
There is an angel in everyone of us. Everybody wants change but not all are willing to do what it takes. To truly change a society, one has to look into the eyes of marginalized people, because we carry in us pain that is not healing. Look into our eyes and you might see the eyes of "god" that whisper, "don't hurt me."

Recently, I have been doing breeze walking at SM by the bay and seeing sunshine and my all time favorite the blue sky. Ilang taon na ang lumipas pero ung mga sugat na binigay mo sakin ay sariwa pa din. Lagi akong nagtatanong kung bakit ako ung nagtanim Ng tunay na pagmamahal pero ako ung sugatan all throughout this years. Pero Ikaw na kasinungalingan ung naging pundasyon mo sa kanya, nagawa mo syang ilapit sa Diyos. Hindi ba talaga ako sinangayunan Ng Diyos at Ikaw ang nabigyan Ng pamilya at ang sakin ay mga sugat na hindi kailanman naghihilom? Siguro nga mas makabuluhan ang sakit kaysa kaligayahan.
