About a year and a half ago, I met the person I’d been waiting for. Every @yung_pueblo poem I’d ever saved somehow balled up into one person lol.

What started as an instant connection on a dance floor turned into a year of bliss. Making you chicken parm the next day was my little act of vulnerability the beginning of me slowly pulling back all my onion layers and letting you in.

We’ve spent this past year growing together, learning each other, and somehow falling deeper in love day by day.

You’ve also had one of the toughest years of your life, losing your mom. Watching your strength through such an unimaginable time made me love you even harder. Getting her blessing, and hearing her tell us how happy she was that we found each other, is something I’ll carry with me forever.

We definitely know how to have fun but what I love most about us is knowing that when life isn’t fun, we have each other. Someone watching your back. Arms wide open. A place where you can always feel safe.

I love the life we’re building, the love we’ve found, and the person I get to experience all of it with.

Happy birthday, baby. Here’s to another year of loving you, laughing with you, traveling the world with you and apparently filming ourselves kissing everywhere we go. 😂 by @marajeats
