I wanted to do give a tribute to the great Yayoi Kusama the world-famous Japanese artist known for her repeating polka dots, net patterns, and immersive mirror rooms. Who passed away just last month. She was definitely a pioneer. She changed the art world forever by breaking rules and creating new styles long before they became popular.

A few years back in 2023, I was able to go check out her immersive mirror room in Miami. It was such a trippy, fun experience. So gratefu that I had the opportunity to experience her art in person.

Getting ready to work on my next sculpture in the series. It starts with playing around with the various shapes until something starts to make sense. Then the real fun begins. Stay tuned to see what these various packaging materials turn too. ✨️

The artist’s heart is a roller coaster — joy, doubt, meaning. I wrote about those raw moments when creativity and insecurity collide. Link in Bio #ArtistLife #CreativeMindset #ArtThoughts by @maranesiart

I completed this fun piece by adding 3D acrylic to the crown and as a brooch.

Made my own sour dough. I did a mushroom and grilled onions with mozzarella and Greek feta goat cheese sourdough pizza.

My tool to help me through.

Where the tomato sauce was mixed.

Looking good 👀😋🍴

Finished it off with 2min under the broiler

Cheers!!! by @maranesiart
