Lately, I’ve been feeling called to share more of my inner world with y’alll. Not just what I create, but the thoughts and ideas that are shaping the person I’m becoming.

One of the things I’ve been thinking about most is what it truly means to love freely.

Not just romantic love. I mean developing the capacity to love deeply in every direction my friends, my family, strangers, animals, the experiences I’m given, the life unfolding around me, and most importantly, myself.

I want to experience love in its deepest forms without always trying to contain it, define it, possess it, or control where it leads.

I’m beginning to understand that the depth we search for in love isn’t necessarily something another person can give us. It’s something we become capable of experiencing as we go deeper within ourselves.

The more deeply I understand myself, the more deeply I can love.

And to me, loving freely doesn’t mean having no boundaries or accepting everything. It means loving without possession. Without trying to force people, moments, or experiences to become what I need them to be. It means allowing things to be, while still honoring myself enough to know when to hold on, when to let go, and when to simply appreciate something for what it was.

There’s something beautiful about realizing that love doesn’t always need ownership to be real.

Some people are meant to stay. Some are meant to teach you. Some experiences last a lifetime, and some only exist for a moment. I don’t want the ending of something to determine whether or not it was worthy of my love.

And when loving feels difficult, I’m trying not to immediately see discomfort as a reason to close myself off. Sometimes discomfort is an invitation to look deeper to understand where fear, ego, attachment, or old wounds are asking to be healed.

Vulnerability isn’t weakness to me. It’s the courage to remain open in a world that gives us countless reasons to become guarded.

I think love is one of the few things that expands the more we give it.

So I want to live with an open heart. To love deeply without losing myself. To release what I cannot control. To appreciate people without needing to possess them. To for taken in Kyoto, Japan by @marcandre.fm
