If you know me, you know I’m a pretty private person. But I couldn’t let this moment pass without sharing what God did for me two weeks ago.

For years, I was afraid to buy a home. As an independent, self-employed musician, I constantly heard how difficult the process would be—especially with inconsistent income, taxes, and everything that comes with working for yourself. Those stories made me hesitate for a long time.

Before I started this journey, I prayed one simple prayer: “God, let my experience be different.” I asked Him to surround me with the right people, place people in my corner who genuinely had my best interests at heart, and make the process smooth.

Looking back, I know He answered that prayer. Throughout the entire process, I kept asking, “Wait… what’s the hard part?” because I wasn’t experiencing the horror stories I had always been warned about.

This isn’t a bragging post. It’s a testimony.

I just want to encourage anyone who’s been afraid to take that next step because of what they’ve heard. Don’t let someone else’s experience become the ceiling for your own. God can write a completely different story for you.

Everyone’s journey is different. And when God’s favor is on your life, some things simply won’t apply to you.

Ever wonder what each musician is playing during the show? Each instrument is so beautiful and important. Songs sometimes sound very different without the other instruments! @marcbass12 played a few bass lines from The New Edition Way Tour to see if I could guess the song. It was more challenging than I thought!
