There’s a certain kind of magic that only happens when DJs stop chasing trends and start digging.

Welcome to Groove Island at The Funky Room — a space rooted in Ibiza history, overlooking the legendary drawbridge to Dalt Vila. Hosted by Vaughn Africa, the original host of The Funky Room at Pacha, this night is built on one simple ethos:

If it’s funky, play it.

Soul. Disco. Funk. Hip Hop. Rare grooves. Unexpected records. The kind of music that keeps you lost in sound.

No rules. No formulas. Just selection. taken in Funky Room Ibiza by @marcdegroot

This is what it feels like when your idol plays your song. 🎧

Pete played Marc’s track at our Tantra event and this was his reaction.

Watch his face 😮

Pleased to announce that the winner of Pete Tong’s DJ Academy Grand Prix Award, @marcdegroot will open the show for @ibiza.classics at @audley_end_house on Saturday 8th August - getting the party started from 1pm! 🔥 🙂

@petetongofficial commented, “Ibiza Classics has always been about celebrating the culture and energy that connects generations through dance music, so being able to invite one of our Future Talent Awards artists to open the show feels like a natural extension of that. For emerging DJs, these moments can be transformative and also an important reminder that the future of the scene depends on continuing to support and platform new talent.”

Can’t wait for this one! Last few tickets onsale now (link in Bio): https://bit.ly/PeteTong2026 by @marcdegroot

Last week we celebrated 🥳

We celebrated the start of season ’26. We celebrated our captains, our partners and our people - and we celebrated everything we have worked so hard to build together..

..and we work hard, really, really hard. So it’s important we do what we love, with the people we love because that means we can create moments like this, all summer long, for all of you to love 🩵

This reel, created by @marcdegroot (who we obviously love) captures the magic that exists between our captains, our partners and our people and the magic that we make happen together on the water every year.

So here’s to doing what we love, with the people we love, on this crazy little island that we love. We’ll never stop celebrating that ✨

Season ’26 - together, we’ve got this 🩵

With love and thanks to our magic makers on the day:
