Beyond has been one of my favorite eras of this funny photography journey — a space to connect with so many of you who are, like me, just exploring what it means to be both a creative and a business owner. As our seasons ebb and flow, so should our businesses.

Come flow with us in Beyond for a totally candid look into the full spectrum of my work — from the creative to the technical, from the slow and reset seasons to the bustle of busy ones. And, of course, a BTS look at the inevitably interwoven personal life (i.e. wedding planning, an international move, and renovating a cabin in the woods).

FIRST MONTH ALWAYS FREE — comment “try now” to be auto-DM’d the code.

Kailyn & Will in the old growth forests of Washington

On an August weekend, settled in the coolness of the trees and with ferns as their backdrop, these two wed.

It’s a funny thing to move from your “home”, as I transitioned out of Washington full time this summer, I of course still had a few jobs that brought me back. Kailyn and Will, with their love of place so integral into the way they chose to celebrate, brought me back to the very best of Washington. The way the forest stays cool, and we get to sparkle in the freckled light. The way the warm earthen dirt fades into mighty trunks of trees, and the quiet peace of simple existence.

Every bit of this weekend felt sacred, thank you for sharing it with me 🤍 taken in Washington by @marcellalaine

Magic does exist and it’s on this tiny island called Folegandros. On Emily & Chris’s wedding day, she had one priority: to watch the sun rise, and to watch it set. As a fellow lover of the Greek Islands (in fact maybe the biggest believer in the presence of love there, having found my soulmate there myself) I understood the assignment completely.

We shared a spontaneous, effortless morning. We met up on Moto, we cruised the spine of the island overlooking cliffs, with the church they would wed at later that same day behind us. Over the course of an hour we were blown away by the wind, kissed by golden light, and bathed by the seawater. The perfect morning routine for your wedding day, if you ask me.

Emily is a woman after my own heart, she wore every moment of glee right on her face.

From our perfect morning, efharisto and goodnight.

Montana is a place of grandiose and peace - where the greatest peaks tower over the most delicate of flowers, and a winding road will lead you straight to the sun. Where grizzly bears much on berries and waterfalls fill the lakes in the peak of summer. It’s the kind of place that reminds me of being a kid, and imagining the most idyllic of settings. Brylie and Mike fell in love with Glacier, and knew they would return to elope one day, and to share it with all of their loved ones. On a cloudless July day, we began the morning on an empty trail, our bodies warming with the movement as the earth warmed from the rising sun. They read vows by the lake, and looked forward to the day ahead.

They wed on a windy cliff overlooking a turquoise lake, surrounded by family and friends alike who had traveled across the country and into the mountains to be witness.

I’ve grown into a special kind of pride for Montana, the place my family now calls home. Sharing it with others who claim it as a bit of their story continues to be one of the most spectacular things I get to do. taken in Montana by @marcellalaine

Returning from a week on safari in Namibia absolutely speechless. Time spent at @ongavagamereserve with @_caroline_elle_ & @padentroxell was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life.

From high tea to sundown beers, to literally thousands of questions (shoutout our unbelievable guide, Mr B, who is unfortunately not on Instagram) answered with humor and enthusiasm, to giraffes at the watering hole during pool time, I can say I will whole heartedly, never recover.

Another super exclusive single photo post - because sharing work shouldn’t be so exhausting, and this moment was one that speaks for itself

Brylie and Mike chose to exchange their vows privately, barefoot and in jeans, at the end of this little trail in Glacier National Park. They would of course, (and one day that will also be shared) go on to adorn the gown, have mom do some hair, and share a moment of ceremony with their loved ones. But this one was for them.

We waited (lingered, really) for this rock to clear. Because once we saw it we couldn’t unsee it. As always, I have hundreds of photos from this moment. Some wading in water, some over their shoulder, some of the details and landscape and all the other things.

But the intimacy of this one, viewing their moment, the inferred privacy and sacredness of their vows, speaks loudest to me

Thank you for sharing it with me 💛 taken in Montana by @marcellalaine
