I miss our old conference, but the one good thing about the PAC 12 going away is that Arizona comes to Texas from time to time now. Not sure how I feel about the Big 12 yet, but time will tell. We played Baylor last night, so I had to take Ezra to Waco to experience his first Wildcats game 😻!! It was one of the best regular season games I’ve seen and even better that we won. 🙌🏽🔥💪🏽🐻⬇️ Hearing Arizona fans yelling UofA so loudly is music to my ears. ❤️🏀We can’t wait to keep traveling to see them any chance we can! Were we both tired today? Yes, but it was so worth it! At least he got some sleep on the drive home. Mi Chiquitín ya no está tan chiquito. 😍🥹Officially in Kindergarten! 🙌🏽💪🏽❤️🙏🏽Vamos, Jaguares 🐆!! Avengers, step aside because Pokemon is here ⚡️💧🔥🍃. He loves red, he loves you and he loves Pokemon 😍. He was very proud to write everything on his first day of school sign, especially the 5+. He dreams to be a fireman and Ironman🧑🏽‍🚒🦸🏽‍♂️. I feel as though my job is to help him see he already is one of those! Ezra, you are loved beyond comprehension. While I want time to slow down, I can’t wait to see you keep growing!

I’ll give you one guess what his favorite color is? 😂😍❤️ First day of Pre-K for this Avengers and Numberblocks loving boy. Where did the time go?! I’m just thankful he still wants me to hold him sometimes. We love his maestras so much and excited to see what this school year brings! As of now, he still wants to be a superhero or a fireman when he grows up. 💪🏽 God bless this school year for all the teachers working so hard to help teach and love on all of our kiddos. I’ve tried to write this post a few times, but can’t seem to find the words. My dearest friend, Ebi, is gone. I was the luckiest that God gave me her as my friend since first grade. What a gift. She was family to me. The girl who made me laugh harder than anyone I’ve ever known. Every single memory I have with her is full of laughter, love and of course some mischief. From our tennis days, to never-ending summer swimming days, to being by each other’s side as we left private school together to navigate the whole new world of public middle school 😂❤️, to the most amazing high-school experience anyone could possibly imagine. Then off to college, the real world and starting families of our own. You gave so much to this world, you made me stronger and you were always there for me when I needed you most. I am forever grateful. We will take care of Rob and Elaine and she will know how incredible you were. I already see you in her. A fighter. Just what this world needs. I love you more than I can put into words. I smile knowing how incredible the hug from Dorothy, Claire and your beautiful Mama must have been. 💀❤️Día de los Muertos ❤️💀This is the first year I made an official ofrenda. 🙏🏽I learned so much through the process of what goes into it and why. Not a detail is overlooked. If this special holiday helps all of our lost loved ones to be remembered and to bless us here on the earthly side with a visit, I can’t wait to feel them here again next year. Gracias por visitarnos y siempre, siempre bienvenidos😍🙏🏽😇. Seeing all the families together at the mausoleum decorating the graves of their lost loved ones, many of them children, with their favorite items, small toys, pictures; was beautiful and heartbreaking. I am thankful for the experience of watching them from a distance. United and so full of love.
I am also thankful to have a picture of this with my baby each year of his life so far. I unintentionally started a picture tradition that I hope to now intentionally continue for as long as I can! We’ll see how many more years he’ll let me hold him! 😂🤞🏽❤️🙏🏽 by @marcelle314

How is this boy 18 months already?!? Today is his first day of daycare. Please send him all the brave, strong, loving vibes 😍. Yes, it’s true that it was harder for me than it was for him. I’m hanging in there! 💪🏽😭💔The Pandemic allowed me to spend every single day of his first 18 months with him. It was one of the toughest and most rewarding times of my life. This kid is magic and is literally my heart outside of my body. I am so very lucky to be his Mama! It’s sad thinking about this chapter being over, but a new one begins! I love you so much, Ezra!! Part 3 of 3: I don’t think anyone could have imagined how 2020 would go. Moving forward in such a different way this year has been challenging, but I try to look for the silver lining and for the lessons God is trying to teach. It’s not always easy to remember that EVERYTHING is meant to grow us. The good, bad, tough, incomprehensible...all of it. “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28.

One thing I do know is that there is something I love about these pictures, but it’s bittersweet - The masks, watching my nephews and niece go through this year and adjust like champs, the imprint this year will leave on all of us, my family and my son (I still can’t believe he’s real), just to name a few. These pictures will serve as a reminder of this time, of all things that truly matter and of a strength that each of us possess. We will definitely have plenty of stories to tell Ezra about the year he was born. 💪🏽🙏🏽🙌🏽
