the opening of Duets: A Collab Exhibition at @avondaleartsalliance was absolutely amazing!! truly so grateful to have created “Strength Reborn” with @mixin.colors 💛 every time i look at her, I am in awe that this was US who created this, and how our beautiful piece exists in the world because of our hard work together. it was so lovely to meet the other incredible artists tonight and share in our successes as a community.

this piece showed me how important it is to trust in yourself and your capabilities, and how beautiful and self honoring it feels to see something through to the end. from seeing an instagram ad for the show, to initial meetings, sketches, loooong painting sessions, applying to the show, getting in, delivering the piece, all the way to opening night, cheers to seeing a vision come to life 🍾 by @marcellezavalaart

Our powerful bull in motion encapsulating a woman in its protection exemplifies how feminine strength is eternal, reborn again and again.

This piece was a true introduction and lesson into how beautiful collaborating with another artist can be. Painting for hours brings such vulnerability and honest conversation and laughter over shared creativity. A little step into our process is shown in the second photo of our original sketch (and how much it evolved since then). We are so proud of this piece, and excited to share her with you 🩵 by @marcellezavalaart

Don’t be in such a rush and watch till the end!
This is 14h of work condensed into 1min!
How fun it was to do this project together, how easily ideas came and went, only to end up somewhere very different from what we had envisioned but accomplishing such a beautiful result. This piece represents very well both of our styles, palette and concepts 🤗❤️ taken in Atlanta, GA by @marcellezavalaart
