I joined regulatory leaders from across the beauty industry for the 2026 European Forum on Cosmetic Claims, Substantiation & Certifications—not only as a speaker and moderator, but as a member of the Scientific Committee helping shape the conversation. We got into the questions beauty brands are navigating in real time: What can you actually say? What can you substantiate? When does innovative marketing become a regulatory problem? And what happens when you’re selling across multiple markets where the rules—and the risk—aren’t the same? That last part is a big part of the work I do. Through Equity Wellness Co, I work at the intersection of beauty, law + global business—advising brands on regulatory strategy, business law and international expansion. Because taking a beauty brand global is a lot more than shipping products to another country. Your formulas, claims, labels, testing and documentation have to travel. But so do your contracts, IP, partnerships and business strategy. The brand can be global. The legal strategy has to be too.
