It started with a vision…

pieces I’ve been collecting, imagining where they might someday live.

then an empty space… waiting.

a U-Haul, a few strong hands, and a lot of moving parts…

and slowly, it began to come together.

layer by layer… piece by piece…

until it felt like something more.

not just a booth…
but a place.

Marché Maison is officially open at Wiel Doghouse Antiques 🤍

and this is just the beginning…

Good Morning! I know I know, I am still sharing little tidbits from the bridal shower last weekend. I have had several comments on the charcuterie tower. It absolutely deserved its own reel!

It began with the concept. My daughter wanted the entire table to be the charcuterie board. We cut butcher paper in a circle to cover the table. The second part was that I wanted the center to be a statement. The fact that it’s a round table made me think of the centerpiece being layers of round so it would feel like a cake. My friends and I played with all sorts of baskets and trays. This was the clear winner because it was all the same tone of wicker. To give it more of a cake vibe, I decided to weave satin ribbon through a couple of the basket layers. Lastly, the top - the floral top (we used oasis and fresh flowers) also gave it the feeling of a cake.

This idea is transferable to any season and any event. What’s great about it is not only it’s beauty but also it’s practicality of expanding the charcuterie space.

Give it a try! Gather all your different baskets, risers, boxes, etc and see what you come up with!

XOXO,

Michelle

Six hours there. One day together. Six hours home. And worth every single mile. 🍂

We took our daughter and son-in-law to southern Virginia to spend the day with dear friends on their beautiful farm—and they made our little visit pretty unforgettable.

A table set overlooking the fields, an incredible spread, gorgeous fall color, lots of laughing, eating and catching up…and apparently, a little Indiana Jones action. 🤠 Our son-in-law has been perfecting his whip skills, and the boy has gotten GOOD. 😂

Good friends. Good food. Family. Fall in Virginia. And one very impressive whip crack.

Sometimes one day is all you need. ❤️

Happy November friends!

“This is why I can’t get rid of a single dish. Eventually, it gets its moment.” 😂

A little recently found brown transferware showing up and delivering fall vibes!

Truth: I love ironstone.
The crazed finish. The creamy white. The thought that generations have eaten from these plates and poured from these pitchers.

I love pieces that have lived a life before they found their way to mine. 🤍

And apparently… I needed one more thing to collect.

A few pale green pumpkins tucked in, and my ironstone collection is officially ready for fall. 🍂

🖤 A Little Spooky, a Little French, a Lot of Vintage!

If there’s one thing you’ll find sprinkled throughout my home, it’s silhouettes. 🖤

I can’t seem to stop collecting them! There’s something about their old-fashioned charm and slightly spooky personalities that I absolutely love.
And come fall? They fit right in.
My vintage wall got its autumn makeover with a few pumpkins, a rustic wreath, collected architectural pieces and, of course, a silhouette or two.
A little moody, a little mysterious, and perfectly imperfect. 🍂

A little coffee, a little vintage, and a whole lot of fall. ☕🍂
Just gathering a few of my favorite things and giving the coffee station its autumn wardrobe. A little texture, a few thrifted treasures, some pumpkins, and suddenly my morning coffee feels a whole lot cozier.
