El programa incluye conferencias impartidas por algunos de los profesionales más influyentes de la arquitectura y el diseño a nivel internacional, que comparten con los alumnos su experiencia, su trayectoria y su manera de entender la disciplina.

A través de estas sesiones, los alumnos conocen proyectos recientes, obras en desarrollo y reflexiones sobre los temas clave que definen la práctica contemporánea. Un espacio de aprendizaje directo donde la experiencia profesional se transmite desde el origen.

Los viajes forman parte esencial de la experiencia del Master MBA MArch Advanced en Arquitectura, Diseño y Business Administration.

Cada programa incluye una serie de viajes y visitas que complementan la formación académica, permitiendo a los alumnos conocer en primera persona proyectos de arquitectura y diseño, visitar estudios, empresas y obras en curso. Una oportunidad para aprender directamente desde el contexto real, entendiendo los procesos, las decisiones y la materialización de la arquitectura.

El programa también incluye la participación en algunos de los eventos más relevantes a nivel internacional, como la Biennale di Venezia, conectando a los alumnos con el presente y el futuro de la disciplina.

Travel is an essential part of the Master MBA MArch Advanced in Architecture, Design and Business Administration experience.

Each program includes a series of trips and visits that complement the academic training, allowing students to experience architecture and design projects first-hand, and to visit studios, companies, and works under construction.

An opportunity to learn directly from the real context, understanding the processes, decisions, and materialization of architecture. The program also includes participation in some of the most important international architecture and design events, such as the Biennale di Venezia, connecting students with the present and future of the discipline.

El Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Helga de Alvear, se concibe como algo más que un espacio expositivo: es una arquitectura que prolonga la ciudad. Situado entre el casco histórico y la ciudad contemporánea, el edificio aprovecha el desnivel de la parcela para crear una secuencia de patios, jardines, escaleras y recorridos públicos. Su volumen de hormigón blanco se integra mediante un ritmo vertical de pilares y muros que genera profundidad, luces y sombras.⁣
Mientras las salas de exposición permanecen más cerradas para proteger las obras, los espacios de circulación se abren hacia el exterior, conectando el arte, la arquitectura y el paisaje urbano.⁣
Una intervención rotunda y serena que dialoga con la arquitectura existente y convierte el museo en un nuevo lugar de encuentro para la ciudad.⁣

The Helga de Alvear Museum of Contemporary Art is conceived as more than just an exhibition space: it is an architecture that extends the city.⁣
Located between the historic centre and the contemporary city, the building takes advantage of the site’s sloping terrain to create a sequence of courtyards, gardens, stairways and public routes. Its white concrete volume is articulated through a vertical rhythm of pillars and walls, generating depth and a dynamic interplay of light and shadow.⁣
While the exhibition spaces remain more enclosed to protect the artworks, the circulation areas open towards the exterior, connecting art, architecture and the urban landscape.⁣
A powerful yet serene intervention that engages in dialogue with the existing architecture and transforms the museum into a new meeting place for the city.⁣

One of this year’s benefits is the MArch Valencia Scholarship, awarded to the winners of the Emerging Firm and Firm of the Year categories. Through this opportunity, the winning firms will receive access to a scholarship at MArch Valencia, a graduate school of the European University of Valencia focused on architecture and design. Gracias, Vibia, por abrirnos las puertas de vuestro showroom y de vuestra sede, y por permitirnos conocer de cerca vuestra visión y la manera en que entendéis la luz como parte esencial de la arquitectura.
La iluminación no solo responde a una necesidad funcional, sino que transforma los espacios, define atmósferas, acompaña los recorridos y modifica la percepción de los materiales, los volúmenes y las proporciones. La luz tiene la capacidad de generar emociones y de convertir la arquitectura en una experiencia.
Ha sido una visita muy enriquecedora para descubrir cómo se integra diseño, innovación y tecnología en soluciones lumínicas que dialogan con el espacio arquitectónico.

La parcela, con una superficie de 1.074 m² y una geometría aproximadamente romboidal, presenta una orientación norte-sur y una topografía de pendiente suave. El acceso principal, situado en el frente norte y único tanto para peatones como para vehículos, salva el ligero desnivel respecto a la calle mediante una rampa de suave pendiente.⁣
La topografía natural se conserva en gran medida y únicamente se adapta en las zonas ocupadas por la vivienda, los volúmenes anexos y la piscina, permitiendo que la edificación se integre de forma armónica en la parcela.⁣

The plot, with an area of 1,074 m² and an approximately diamond-shaped form, has a north–south orientation and gently sloping topography. The main access, on the northern elevation and the only one for both pedestrians and vehicles, overcomes the slight difference in street level by means of a gentle ramp.⁣
The natural topography is largely preserved, being adjusted only in the areas of the house, annexes, and swimming pool, allowing the building to be harmoniously integrated into the site.⁣

The Sanctuary of the Self es una instalación creada por Clap Studio para Homapal como parte de CasaDecor 2026 en Madrid. El proyecto toma uno de los espacios con mayor carga simbólica del hogar contemporáneo —el baño— y lo transforma en una reflexión sobre algo universalmente reconocible: la necesidad de proyectar una imagen hacia el exterior y de buscar validación en la forma en que los demás nos perciben.⁣
⁣
The Sanctuary of the Self is an installation created by Clap Studio for Homapal as part of CasaDecor 2026 in Madrid. The project takes one of the most symbolically loaded spaces in the contemporary home — the bathroom — and turns it into a reflection on something universally familiar: the need to project an image outward, to seek validation in how others see us.⁣

El proyecto se ubica en la zona industrial de Little Haiti, un barrio que ha experimentado una importante transformación en los últimos años. En un entorno árido y hostil, la propuesta crea un oasis que es a la vez un lugar de tranquilidad para los artistas y un espacio de encuentro con la comunidad local, resaltando el valor cívico de la institución.
El programa se organiza como un pequeño pueblo alrededor de un jardín exuberante. Sus diversos componentes —pequeños estudios para artistas, una serie de espacios educativos y un auditorio— se ubican en un conjunto de salas dispuestas a lo largo del estrecho y alargado terreno, cada una definida para albergar un programa específico que se abre hacia el interior y el jardín público.

The project is located in the industrial area of Little Haiti, a neighbourhood that has undergone significant transformation in recent years. In harsh, arid surroundings, the proposal creates an oasis that is both a place of quiet and calm for artists and a space of encounter with the local community, highlighting the civic value of the institution.
The program is organized like a small village around an exuberant garden. Its various components – small studios for artists, a series of educational spaces and an auditorium – are housed in a collection of rooms assembled along the narrow, elongated site, each defined to accommodate a specific program that opens towards the interior and green public garden.

La ampliación del Kunsthaus Zürich, diseñada por David Chipperfield, no busca llamar la atención con formas icónicas, sino crear un edificio donde el verdadero protagonista sea el arte. Su concepto de “house of rooms” plantea una secuencia de salas con diferentes proporciones, materiales y entradas de luz, de modo que cada obra encuentra el espacio más adecuado para ser contemplada. La luz natural, cuidadosamente controlada mediante ventanas laterales y lucernarios, cambia la atmósfera de las galerías a lo largo del día y convierte el recorrido en una experiencia arquitectónica en sí misma.

Uno de los momentos más sorprendentes del recorrido es Pixelwald de Pipilotti Rist, una instalación inmersiva formada por cientos de luces suspendidas que transforma el espacio en un bosque de píxeles. El contraste entre la arquitectura silenciosa y serena de Chipperfield y la explosión de color de Rist demuestra cómo un museo puede ser, al mismo tiempo, un contenedor discreto y una experiencia sensorial inolvidable.

The extension of the Kunsthaus Zürich, designed by David Chipperfield, does not seek attention through iconic forms, but rather to create a building where art is the true protagonist. Its concept of a house of rooms unfolds as a sequence of galleries with varying proportions, materials and natural lighting conditions, allowing each artwork to be experienced in its most appropriate setting. Carefully controlled through side windows and skylights, daylight transforms the atmosphere of the galleries throughout the day, making the journey itself an architectural experience.

One of the most memorable moments of the visit is Pixelwald by Pipilotti Rist, an immersive installation composed of hundreds of suspended lights that transforms the space into a forest of pixels. Los cuerpos cilíndricos organizan el programa de manera precisa, albergando las habitaciones, la zona de estar, la pieza que integra el acceso rodado con el garaje y el área destinada a la salud, el volumen que contiene la piscina y las instalaciones, y la zona de entrada. La estructura se resuelve con nitidez a través de esta geometría, que define con coherencia el carácter espacial de cada ámbito.⁣

The cylindrical bodies organize the program precisely, housing the bedrooms, the living area, the piece that integrates the vehicular access with the garage and the health area, the volume containing the pool and facilities, and the entrance area. The structure is resolved clearly through this geometry, which coherently defines the spatial character of each area.⁣

Durante cuatro días, los alumnos de MArch Advanced se han sumergido en la arquitectura contemporánea suiza, recorriendo Zúrich, Chur, Vals y Lausana. El itinerario ha incluido obras de Peter Zumthor, Barozzi Veiga, Kengo Kuma, SANAA, Aires Mateus, David Chipperfield, Santiago Calatrava, Christ & Gantenbein y Le Corbusier. Una experiencia formativa para analizar distintas formas de relacionar arquitectura, técnica, materialidad, luz y paisaje, ampliando los criterios de diseño y la sensibilidad constructiva de los estudiantes. ⁣
