The first day of ‘off season’ September 7th, the day after the World Championships, season finalé. Depleted, exhausted and still soaking up what just happened. But those eggs and bacon I was looking at were delicious! Pittsburgh airport. taken in Pittsburgh International Airport by @marcmgd_ifbbpro

Fitness Volt corrected their stats from the initial post, and these are correct for my Pro tenure. Of the 5 shows done, the 2 wins were Chicago and Tampa and the 3 others were 2nd and 7th in the IFBB PRO Masters World Championships (‘25 and ‘26) and a 4th in the 60’s class in Chicago. I am not sure why they show TX state in only 2019. It is an NPC, not a pro event, however I won that 4 times (2019 - 60’s class, 2023 - 60’s & 50’s, 2024 - 50’s). Just for the record! I am grateful to be able to keep putting wins on the board as I approach 72! by @marcmgd_ifbbpro

THIS YEAR REDEFINED WHAT YOU THOUGHT WAS POSSIBLE

It revealed a whole new version of you.

Pushing beyond your limits, you demanded more from yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally. Bringing out more discipline, more sacrifice, more resilience, and more belief than ever before within yourself. And through every challenge, every exhausting day, every doubt, every setback…… you kept pushing forward.

At 71 yrs young…..You built a physique that is undeniable at ANY age. Discovering there was another level buried deep inside you. Everything you accomplished this year; the internal battles, the sacrifices, the victories, and even the moments that tested you, was proof of what you are capable of and the still unseen potential you have to continue to better yourself. Not just building a better physique.
But a stronger version of YOU.

2026 YOU BUILT A GREATER BELIEF WITHIN

Now that the Olympia has passed, here are a few pro stage shots from my Olympia….the IFBB Pro Masters World Championships. I earned a 7th place among an elite group of 11 top pros. The top ranks were won by some seasoned 60’s pros who aged into this class and dominated! I was happy to be on stage challenging them, but will return with more size, hardness and relaxed control…..as that’s what it takes to be a Giant Killer …..ask Shawn Clarida! by @marcmgd_ifbbpro

ChatGPT has unofficially ranked me at #4 in the world among active 70 yo bodybuilders. They use a weighted average over 3 years of results. Even though I finished 7th in the World Championships, my 2 first place finishes helped improve my placing. They had me at #9 last year after coming in second in the 2025 World Championships. by @marcmgd_ifbbpro

https://www.drinknutralife.com. I used this product during my recent prep and it truly delivers what they propose. The standard one gives you a good vascular pump when used as a pre-workout and the PLUS with the added caffeine really gets you going. Both help@with recovery as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. #nutralife #mastersbodybuilding by @marcmgd_ifbbpro

Searching for some contest results info today, I came across this site: fitnessvolt.com and they have current info on contest results as well as athlete profiles. Looks like the data at this level is just evolving. My actual stats are: NPC - 20 class entries, 10 First places; IFBB - 5 classes, 2 wins by @marcmgd_ifbbpro
