Shadow 22s theme is a culmination of the Lux Lunae themes that pops with frenetic and sensual guitar strumming. His flying is smooth, glorious, and will leave you dizzy. One of the best tracks in ace combat 8. #acecombat #videogame #acecombat8 #vgm by @marcodmeatball

I really really enjoyed my time with Valor Mortis. This time period is so interesting and seeing it in a first person Dishonored meets Souls game was really satisfying. My favorite boss ever is Ludwig the Holy Blade and boy seeing Soldiers turn into human dogs was definitely reminiscent of that. LMAO.

The rapier was my weapon of choice and parrying was SO much fun in this game after getting used to the depth perception and timing in 1st person.

By the end of my 19 hour playthrough I felt very OP and as someone who struggles with "difficult" games I found this one to not be particularly challenging despite some restarts on bosses. I never felt like there was typical souls BS in it which was a nice change of pace.

Some things I didn't like: The music. It serves a purpose but was mostly in the background. Not bad or anything. I just had high hopes for sweeping orchestral melodies that made me afraid or tense. Does a good job in setting ambience though. There's a rush to the final boss in a running section that i continually died at that I really really didn't enjoy at all and in fact was where I died the most oddly. Lastly, I cheesed the final boss by stunlocking it LOL. I also felt I was way too OP by the end which was a weird feeling? Was level 56 ish.

Overall though, I'm really happy I played this. Hoping for a ton of success for the team, it's a good game with great potential and a fun time. I definitely want more. So i'd say that's a win.

Stopped by NYCC since I was in town and boy Id love to go to a more anime or gaming centric CON. It’s cool but I can’t imagine spending more than a day there. Certainly lots to see and I was glad to support some artists but that’s a lot. 🤣 by @marcodmeatball

Hortus Regis Alti from Ace Combat 8 is an unmatched song not only for the series but also I feel for the broader scope of video game music in general. In context, it is a palpable and powerful track and out of context it is a song of deep longing and power. Truly beyond scope. I adore it. #acecombat #videogame #vgm #acecombat8 by @marcodmeatball
