It’s been 10 years since we started working together. For me @kanonkopwineestate it’s an extraordinary example of the dynamic evolution of vine architecture over time, in according with the character of the place. Always a special moment to visit the vineyards just before harvest.

It is fascinating to observe how the vines evolve and adapt to their place, guided by people who observe, study, learn, and continuously adapt their work to the changing vineyard ecosystem, season after season.

A constant dialogue between vines, place, people, and time.

#repost • @cortesdecima While the last fermentations are finishing in the cellar we take a moment to reflect and look back at the 2026 growing season.

One of the key viticulture techniques that we have been fine tuning over the years with @marcosimonit is canopy management, and every season we feel closer to our goal: healthy canopies, with strong lateral development, that create an umbrella like effect that shades the grapes from too much excess sunlight while still retaining good airflow.

This allows the grapes to retain more tension, natural acidity and fresh fruit flavors, while naturally shielding from sunburn damage.

In a changing climate, we must continuously adapt our farming practices in order to naturally produce the highest quality, balanced grapes from healthy vineyards. by @marcosimonit

We started harvest in DÃO almost three weeks ago, then stopped for a while and now we’re back at it again.

Yesterday, we were picking Vinha de Barbeiro around 100-year-old vines at Quinta de Lomba.

Over the last two years, working with @marcosimmonit and @titoosordi on these vines, we’ve seen an amazing transformation, more life, more energy and more strength. The vines look happier and the grapes taste just great.

In the last years, these grapes have become part of Conciso wine but who knows, maybe this year, something special will come from Daniel’s hands and the Lomba team.

I love working alongside people in the vineyard, helping the vines become stronger, more resilient and connected to the terroir.

Great time with @stephanederenoncourt and @t_georgilas , tasting the grapes and learning more about the expression of the terroir in the wine.

After the meeting with Lorenzo Pasquini, we went to see the progress of the work we are doing together on the Sauvignon Blanc, we also visit some blocks of Semillon.
The goal is to preserve the vine’s local architecture, Côte Sauternes,
and build the plants while minimizing pruning wounds.
In this way, we aim to reduce the risk of trunk diseases especially for the SB particularly Esca.
I am very grateful to @lo.pasquini @thomas__rob and the entire team @yquem for the confidence and for the extraordinary work they are doing, proud and glad to be part of this.
