21km Gun Run 2024 was a perfect day, perfect weather, great crowd, awesome vibes along the whole way and amazing support.
I managed to fly by my pb and all my expectations of a 1:25 and somehow get a 1:21 which I'm super happy with, all this means now is that I have to get sub 1:20 probably at Balwin half marathon!

Balwin peninsula half marathon, first race in a while but took it nice and chilled. Was fun to run alongside my Dad, was super proud of his time given he's only done about 4 runs in the last couple of months 😅. by @marcus.mcdowall

First real race since last year's gun run, been a while, felt good to finally give it my all again. Good news is now I know I can ramp up training and start targeting that elusive sub 80 again!
Well done to fellow @houtbayharriers runners and thanks to @gunrunsa for another fun day out.

New type of challenge for running, instead of the usual race, instead decided to push Wezi in a wheelchair kindly sponsored by the @warrioronwheelsfoundation , the amount of support from the crowds as we went by was utterly insane and felt so motivating, pushing as a team on the hills was as awesome as it was tough but so worth the push in the end with getting Wezi to his goal and his new half PB, hopefully the bar doesn't stop there and I can help others get their PBs and further share the experience and love I have for running!

Props to the fellow @houtbayharriers runners, and to my team @quinnokeefesa for his first official half marathon and absolutely smoked it, @matty_kruger who was the slightly more experience voice in the effort.
Thanks @totalsportstwooceansmarathon for an amazing race once again.

Pinelands 10km road race, didn't go quite how I wanted it to, but still surprised myself with a decent enough PB. Great run to all those who participated and well done to the fellow @houtbayharriers runners.

Two oceans half marathon round 2 done and dusted, last year I finished it in 1:31, and told myself to get a better PB and be around 100th overall. And I almost got it spot on. Such an awesome race, so many people supporting you from the get go to the finish its such an awesomebut tough course. Thanks to @totalsportstwooceansmarathon for the 25th awesome event and I will be back next year.
Also huge thanks to @houtbayharriers supporters and crew, never a let down from them, they always carry you through with big smiles, and of course well done to the fellow runners today and in yesterdays ultra marathon!

Constantia 15km race/training run
Fun race awesome people as per usual, a fun course with some hills here and there. Perfect weather for beating PB which many fellow athletes did. Today was a progression training run today bit I wanted to be there for fellow runners. 50/1683 overall for a training run is not what I thought I would be getting...

21st of January did a race called Bay2Bay, was a beautiful route from Hout Bay to Camps Bay, little bit hilly up suikerbossie and then down and flat to Camps Bay. 22nd overall out of about 2300 fellow runners. Big thanks to the Hout Bay Harriers for support and as per usual being the best club out there. Wanted sub 1 hour, but was so close yet so far, next time a flat route and I believe I will get it.
Late post due to technical issues.

Tough race, Cape Peninsula AKA Balwin half marathon. Flat for the first 10km, then headwind with slight hills up and down to the finish, felt tired and weak at first but halfway found a running buddy and we pushed through to the finish ending with a sprint to the end.
