I remember one of your friends thanking me for making your dreams come true. I laughed because girl what!? lol Then she told me you always wanted to be a husband and a father. It’s so different when a man desires those roles. They treat you differently. They handle those roles with care. So thank you for being the best husband and father I could have asked God for. I don’t worry about the type of man Roman will be when he gets older because he has you as his daddy. Thank you for taking such good care of us! For taking the night shift, for feeding me while I feed the baby. For putting me first. For being my partner and so much more. Thank you for all your sacrifice. I see you. Before the night is over, I HAVE to publicly wish my stunning wife a very HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! ❤️

It was such an honor to celebrate you today and to reflect on just how incredible you truly are. Myself, Roman, and Cooper are beyond grateful for everything you do for our family each and every day. Watching you step into motherhood with so much love, patience, strength, and grace has given me an even deeper appreciation for all that mothers do.

You make our house feel like home, our hard days feel lighter, and our best days even more beautiful. The love you pour into our family never goes unnoticed, and I thank God constantly for blessing us with you.

Praying this is only the first of many Mother’s Days we get to celebrate together, because you were made for this role and you wear it so beautifully. We are so blessed to call you ours.

I can’t articulate how I feel about becoming a mother. 39 years and well worth the wait. It’s the sweetest joy I’ve ever felt. An overwhelming all consuming love. I prayed for a son and God gave him to me. My Roman Oliver. It’s a privilege to be your Ima (ee-mah). & I’m forever grateful for the opportunity to stewart this life. Motherhood is kingdom work!

I believe one of the most important decisions you will ever make is the person you choose to marry, spend your life with, and have children by. I wanted a man who desired to be a husband and a father. That didn’t just “want a wife”. Huge difference.

I met a group of my husband’s friends for the first time recently and one of them came up to me and said “Marcus has always wanted this. Thank you for making him and husband and a soon to be father. He will not disappoint”. & I truly believe that. You’ve shown nothing but love and support this entire time. Thank you for carrying me along this journey. I appreciate all the things.

Good things take time. Great things may take even longer. God things, well they are just that, God’s things that happen in Gods timing. So happy I waited for Gods best for me. My Marcus.

Today marks a very special day. I get to celebrate half a year being married to my honey bunn @jewjew_b and we are halfway through the pregnancy of our baby boy.

First, thank you. Thank you for allowing me to grow into these new roles as a husband and soon to be father. I always say that there’s no manual to this thing called marriage but you’ve extended so much grace to me as I learn what it really looks like to lead and care for you and Lord-willing a future family. Thank you for being my safe space. Like forreal my safe space! I know that if I come to you with anything, you’ll take it in with care and allow me to feel what I feel without emasculating me.

Lastly, thank you for agreeing to go through being pregnant. I know that we as men don’t fully grasp all that goes into being pregnant. Yes the pictures and cute pregnancy clothes look good but behind closed doors you’re battling fatigue, mommy brain, the ups and downs of your emotions, your body being altered and the list goes on. While I’m grateful for our baby boy who is thriving inside of you, I want to celebrate you because this thing called motherhood can be a beast. So I salute you. Not just for being an amazing wife, but also for all that you do both seen and unseen. I love you so very much and I’m so proud to call you my wife and Lord willing my son’s mom! 😘 by @marcusalambert
