A poetic and playful solo exploration of belonging, taking place in a gallery setting, at our neighbours @statenskonstrad

The work draws on Baldemar’s roots in the far north cultural-geographical region of Tornedalen, where local language and culture were historically suppressed by state assimilation policies. Moving across intimacy and distance, in-between insider and outsider, Baldemar queers traditions with humour while reaching towards them with care.
