Freeflow Sessions Ep.2

Freeflow Sessions is me pressing record and seeing what comes out. Purely intuitive, whatever is alive in my body in that moment.

Now after posting a couple of times, I feel more and more freedom and joy in recording these videos. I've noticed there's something that happens when I know people will see me, and what I express. So thank you for witnessing me. I'm excited to share more. by @marcusbassani

This is the first time I rap on camera, so this is slightly uncomfortable releasing, but I had so much fun writing this. I found this drum loop the other week that i really liked, and slapped some piano on it, and wrote this over it. Ever since i was young, i've always thought of rap as such a beautiful way to express. Me, at 13, looking out the car window on a rainy day listening to Em.

It feels cool to step into this.

So cadence and rhythm is still something i'm learning, so this wasn't a perfect run of it. But hey. Here we are. I'm sharing it anyways. by @marcusbassani

Freeflow Sessions Ep.1

I think for a long time, I've postponed sharing some of my art because of a super strong "it has to be perfect" idea. Curating and refining the raw expression has its purpose, but I'm kinda tired of having to live up to my own expectation of a completely flawless recording being the only thing worthy of being shared. Then it kinda loses what makes it art in the first place. So here's me and Joe, just pressing record and whatever comes, comes. These two clips are from a 5 min recording, until the camera dipped on us. Sometimes the words don't make any sense, sometimes the note is off, but that's okay.
