It was a tough morning. I finally switched to my tried and true fly, and a fish finally came up to take it. I set. Damn, missed it. Next cast, another take. Another missed set. That fish looked big. Kept trying, kept taking, kept missing. Turns out my beloved fly lost its hook point a long time ago and I've just been tapping fish lips with a blunt piece of bent metal. Fish were all spooked but I was more sad to lose that fly. Rest easy, old friend. taken in Maine by @marcusim

You know that idiot tourist that pays for the "Fuji view" upgrade at their hotel, when Fuji's only visible 70 days a year? That's me. I'm that idiot. Don't fall for it. Fuji-san will hide behind those clouds and laugh in your tourist face. At least I got lucky on the shinkansen for the drive-by. taken in Fuji-san by @marcusim
