10 years in and 5 years with doors open at The Bridge. We go beyond just building a brick and mortar youth center by incorporating the spaces necessary for young people to explore and learn about themselves so they can better plan for the future. This is a launch pad for life.

I am confident that God used music to save my life. It only makes sense that I create those opportunities for other young people, but not just with music. With film, STEM, athletics, culinary arts, mental health, dance, art, financial literacy, business development, entrepreneurship, and whatever it takes. We want them to discover what their thing is, and give them a space with safe adults in a mentor environment to explore it, get good at it, and build a foundation for the next phase of life, which is adulthood.

The more time they spend here, the less time they spend in neighborhoods where their safety, freedom and wellness could be at risk.

The student you see isn’t just making a beat. He’s experiencing the joy of creativity, learning focus and confidence, and building the kind of skills that will carry him into his future. This is the dream @verngrpfly James and I had in mind when we built @thebridgeimpactcenter

For ten years, Urban Bridge has grown by doing one simple thing: showing up. We started with limited resources, but we stewarded every opportunity and stayed consistent for our kids. Today, that faithfulness has turned into programs, partnerships, and spaces that serve the whole student. A decade later, the mission is still the same — hope grows where people keep showing up. Here's to the legacy we’re building, one student at a time.

Marcus Jackson grew up on the Eastside of OKC where the environment often decided your future before you ever had a chance to dream. What altered his path wasn’t luck. It was access. A band room. A mentor who noticed him. A place where his creativity was seen as a gift, not a distraction.

This clip is a reminder that young people don’t need to be rescued. They need opportunity. They need adults who show up. They need spaces that help them discover what they’re good at before the streets decide for them.
