We had a piano up for grabs last week. On Monday I had 2 people who were interested in the piano, I told them first come first serve. At around 7 o’clock two young men approximately 18/19 years old in a cream colored Escalade pick up truck, came by to pick up the piano. As they were loading the piano into their truck three other kids that knew them stopped by and helped, and off they went with the piano. I was notified by a friend yesterday that the piano had been dumped on somebody’s front yard on Val Verde, which is right offRio road. Does anybody know who has a cream colored Escalade pick up truck, I would like these boys to come and pick up the piano and take it to the dump. I am so frustrated with humanity at this point I don’t understand why this was done. by @marcy.straesser

Marcy, 61, @marcy.straesser I was born in Salinas which is the central coast of California. I started surfing in the 5th/6th grade? We would go to the beach and hang out all day boogie board Surf and just be little surf groms. I’ll never forget the first time I stood up on a wave it was at the Oceanside pier southside. Surfing from then on was always a passion for me. I remember surfing in some of the first NSSA contests, and doing not so good, but still loving surfing, maybe just not being judged.From the age of 18 to 21 were some fun times my very first surf trip down to Baja California. It’s the age of 17 on a crazy Surf trip. We scored tons of waves drove my car through a river and basically survived. From then I got a little bit into drugs like too much and decided maybe I needed to move back up to the Central coast. So at 21 I ended up back in Monterey Bay and got Clean and sober. The water there is cold. I ended up back in the Surf scene and watched my boyfriend at the time Surf — that lasted about six months. I got a really good wetsuit booties the whole 9 yards and started surfing up here.I have been to the mentawai. I have been to the Maldives Mexico so many times Nicaragua, Costa Rica. I seriously am living the dream.My mentors were Lynn Boyer, Rael Sun, Margot Oberg. They made surfing for me as a young woman possible.I’m also a drummer in a really awesome mostly female band called Salty!The amount of females has tripled, im now Auntie and love all my girls out there, and the good boys. Aspirations are to continue until I die, I have been training my ass off for my Costa Rica trip. Btw I’ve been a fitness/pilates/neuro coach for over 35 years. I own my own studio Carmel Pilates in Carmel California. I feel super grateful to been born in the era of surfing. by @marcy.straesser
