Yes, i am here on instagram and i’m posting pictures of myself to appease and feed the newborn clout i’ve gained from the Ideal Couples Image i posted a few days ago. Surrendering my form to the digestive tract of a machine that displaces and dehumanises through, not an unending loop, but an unending hunger at the expense of life that earth has granted us. That has me thinking about how much is enough, and feeling disgusted at centering myself in relation to the landscape that could easily take me as fast as it has birthed me. My trousers are made of polymers. Patches of leather and rubber are what makes my boots, who has died and been felled for my hike up a mountain?

Deep inside I am not a true cynic, I believe in the possibility of symbiotic relationships. As I trawl the boulders and the cultures of lichen that overlap, coexist and dance from rock to rock, a deep awe emerges from my spine and sends a warmth that can only be translated to love. The cyclical nature of existence is a comfort. How many people have experienced the exact same thing as I have in a different context? I do believe in people. Are these images a bid for connection?
