Amor Dance Creative Season 3 💌

This Saturday, we’ll be presenting “The Noise Within” on August 8th at 7:30 PM at Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center. I’m so proud of what this team has built together, and I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by artists who bring so much honesty, care, and heart into the studio every week.

It’s hard to put into words how much this season has meant to me. This season has challenged me, inspired me, and had reminded me why I continue to choose dance over and over again.

Maren Rodgers is a mover and creator based in Salt Lake City, Utah. She has performed works by Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, Dmitri Peskov in Repertory Dance Theatre’s Link Series, Charles Weidman (set by Anne Marie Loesch), José Limón (set by Natalie Desch), Amy Gunter Lolofie, Dmitri Peskov, Jessica DiMauro Marks, and more. While obtaining her Associate’s degree at Snow College, her choreography was showcased at the 2024 Northwest ACDA Conference, and she performed Gala-selected works by Dmitri Peskov in 2023 and 2024. Currently a junior pursuing a BFA in Modern Dance at Utah Valley University, this is her first year dancing with UVU’s Contemporary Dance Ensemble, and she serves as assistant director of Amor Dance Creative.

Hi everyone! My name Maren Rodgers and I’m a 20 year old mover and creator based in Salt Lake City, Utah! I’ve been dancing for 17 years and have had lots of opportunities for creating movement and performing. I’ve performed pieces created by Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, Charles Weidman (set by Anne Marie Loesch), Dmitri Peskov, Jessica DiMauro Marks, and many more. I had the opportunity to showcase my own choreography for the 2024 Northwest American College Dance Association conference while also performing works by Dmitri Peskov, which got selected for the Gala performance both in 2023 and in 2024. As a member of the Snow College Dance Company from 2022-2024, I was able to present a piece at the RAD Fest in Kalamazoo, Michigan and attend ACDA both years. Dance and movement is not a passion for me, it is a necessity. I’ve learned so many lessons and have met so many amazing people. All in all, I’m so excited to explore and learn with this company! by @marenrodgers
