I’m so proud of my family of teachers and educators!
My Mother, Faye Ruth Shaw, taught elementary school for many years at East Ward Elementary in Bowie,Texas. She started her teaching career as a Home economics teacher in Stoneburg,Tx.
My daughter ,Carrie Mayo-Clift, just started her full time teaching career (after 9 years of Substitute teaching) as a 5th grade Language Arts teacher at of Mary Orr Intermediate in Mansfield!
My niece Laura K. Herchenrader has been an educator for 28 years! She is currently at White Deer School District!
So proud of them carrying on her legacy👏👏. Love You ❤️❤️ by @margarm1

Celebrating my son Matthew Mayo the day before his birthday which is June 20th! My grandson Chase had a baseball tournament that was scheduled from Thursday through Sunday. Fortunately or unfortunately depending on how much rain you got 🥺, his game was canceled Friday, June 19th.
We were able to celebrate his birthday and Father’s Day!
Had a fun fun dinner and enjoyed spending time with everyone❤️❤️❤️ taken in Lupe Tortilla - Allen by @margarm1

I’m posting this photo now because when I first saw it, it hit a little too close to home!
Every healthcare (and any essential ) worker knows how traumatic it is to drive to work under the conditions we all faced this week (and Saturday last week)!
Most are traumatized trying to get there in the worst possible conditions. TXDOT was not able to keep most roads safe!

Our 2025 family Christmas celebration is in the books! So….wonderful to have all my kids (adult) and grandkids together!
Thank you Julie Mayo for hosting! We ate (too much) opened presents, had the Chinese gift exchange (included adult grands in it this year)which is always interesting! We were so happy Jim’s Mom, Barbara Jean Clift, could join us this year! Here are a few pics😊 taken in Mansfield, Texas by @margarm1

Well….I obviously can’t be trusted with sharp objects this week😜
1st cut Sunday night digging through a drawer for my pizza cutter and instead found a very sharp knife (I know I shouldn’t keep a sharp knife loose in a drawer). I cut my right Index finger.
2nd and third cuts today trying to open a sealed nasal spray. Punctured my left index finger with sharp pointed scissors. That didn’t work so tried opening with my teeth and the dang stuff cut my lip! Ugh,
I am the walking wounded this week🤨
I’m almost afraid to cook dinner and do more damage🤣 by @margarm1
