We produced two distinct editions, both featuring a glow-in-the-dark skull motif. The book brings together printmaking, drawing, and text in an edition where no two copies are alike.The title refers to the theatrical fourth wall — the invisible boundary between stage and audience that maintains the illusion. In this book, Arno Beck deliberately crosses that boundary, addressing what usually remains hidden behind the facade of the art world and revealing the mechanisms of the creative economy. The book becomes a step out of the performance and into the engine room of artistic production — gently ironic, visually precise, and rich in art-historical references.The drawings accompany and expand Beck’s current series of acrylic paintings, combining the aesthetics of medieval woodcuts with references to digital image culture.
