Ti fidi?

Destiny gives us the starting point. The awareness of choosing is in our hands. ✨
And you, what have you chosen to be free?

♥__ 👤"Margot," 2026. Acrylics, mixed media on canvas, 27x35 cm. By her own words; There are unexpected encounters that bring a rare kind of beauty—moments of pure connection that teach us and enrich who we are. Art holds the power to unite two strangers, revealing that the very same, profound passion was beating within them all along. This portrait was born exactly like that, from a conversation and a gentle challenge. Between the brushstrokes, the soul of an artist who breathes new life into materials intertwines with an imperfect canvas, where hair takes shape from egg cartons, the nose and an eye emerge from aluminum, and details blend into paper mache. It is not just a painting; it is the story of two worlds touching through creativity.

● Luckily, this wasn't a commission, because I had no idea how much time and effort it took to get this done. Last time I finished a portrait was in 2004. Ever since, portraits have remained unfinished. Hair was never an issue when I was drawing, but painting hair has been a pain. I spent two weeks finishing this. In between, I painted a mini-portrait of another artist with very curly hair (too naughty to show on IG)... I think I've convinced myself that I can do portraits, as long as they are abstract.

Ricordi chi eri?
Abbiamo riempito le nostre vite di rumore, inseguendo una finta realtà... Abbiamo costruito illusioni e dimenticato la vera fonte della nostra felicità.
Abbiamo perso la bussola, smarrito i pezzi di ciò che siamo.
HE IS COMING. ⚡
