303 my second home for forever.

A three-year-old girl once told her mom she wanted to do a foreign exchange year, just like she did. Years went by, and finally, it was her turn. The goodbyes were tough, the nerves were real, and she kept wondering if it would all be worth it.

She arrived at her new home, met her host family, made the cheer team, and started school. Everything felt different, and all she wanted was to fit in. But little by little—through dances, football games, and a bunch of firsts—she realized she was living something truly special.

Halloween, Christmas, Spring Break in Hawaii, a trip to Florida for nationals, late-night laughs with friends, new traditions… and somehow, that place far from home started to feel like hers.

Then the countdown began. Goodbyes came quicker than expected. It hurt—but more than anything, she felt thankful. Because she really lived it.

And when she got back home, unpacking wasn’t just about clothes—it was about the memories. And all she could think was: how lucky am I to have lived it like that❤️‍🩹🇺🇸 by @mariaafernanddezz
