Oh hey there - I’m so happy you’re here. I figured it was finally time to introduce myself on here.

I’m Maria Abbott. Some people might know me as the person always out adventuring, replaying a song because it made me feel something, someone that values quality time with family, gettin’ creative on my camera, or someone who values those in-between moments of life.

I hope this space encourages and inspires you to get outside and go after whatever brings you genuine joy. We are in the happening of this life, so go out and ride this life cause it’s a good one.

This lifestyle isn’t always glamorous, everyday looks very different, but I hope this can inspire you to find joy in the little things 😊.

Yes I said that right. When cooking dinner outside was easy I didn’t have to worry about layers, rain, and the biggest one yet was the amount of daylight we had. Now it feels like a race to cook our dinner before it starts getting dark and not to mention dealing with the rain - yikes! So now in this season of my life I’ve transitioned to cooking my meals outside in the cold with lots of layers and navigating the (cold) weather. The fun thing I’ve looked back on is just to think how crazy you are to take the time to prepare and cook a delicious hot meal in the rain straight from your car!

It’s these kinds of moments I like to reflect on the simple joys and be grateful for stuff like this happening in my life. Yes this lifestyle can be hard and difficult to navigate at times but there are many good things already happening in those moments it just depends on the ability to notice them.

This fall season has felt so long and it’s made me appreciate all the colors, hikes, fishing, and climbing. So grateful to be around some rad people and the beauty of the outdoors!

Kinda of fun to fall back onto mother nature. The patience though… that was a different kind of level. 🫣⏲️🍂

I must say the ending of summer and beginning of fall is a bittersweet time of the year.

I know it’s crazy enough to say but mother nature provided a good dump last October. We couldn’t say no to a sunny day and fresh snow! Very last minute we made our way to the mountain to get some turns in. It was a spectacular afternoon skinning up the ski runs and admiring the larch trees covered in snow.

What a fun surprise to go to your local ski resort and have the whole mountain to yourself and ski some fresh turn in some pow pow.

Not sure about you but ya girl is getting stoked for ski season!

That fact this lifestyle makes you multitask is kinda of rad. I’ll do anything that’s doesn’t allow me to just sit and wait for my laundry to be done.
