#portrait #ukrainianartist #oilportrait #sea #artcontemporary #artcontest #artforsale #painting #contemporary by @mariaborysova

New work from my series dedicated to the experience of forced migration. «The Swallow Always Returns Home» Series «Displaced» In this series, I turn to the stories of girls and women during wartime who have experienced the loss of home, a safe and familiar environment, and a sense of stability. I am deeply moved by the fragility of inner balance, and at the same time by the extraordinary resilience that is born in the most difficult circumstances. Inspired by the photography of @natalia.sharomova ❤️💪 Model @polinalvrr 😘 Music that was with me throughout the process @serhiy_zhadan @yuriygurzhy @hossp.choir 🫂 . . . #wartime #forcemigration #ukrainianart #oilpaintingportrait #artforukraine by @mariaborysova

What a lovely couple of days! ❤️🎨 It was such a joy to spend time with fellow artists, meet new people and share our work at The Artists Collective exhibition. I always find it fascinating how an exhibition brings new perspectives. Talking to people about my paintings, hearing their thoughts and seeing my work through their eyes often gives me new ideas and inspiration. Thank you to everyone who came along, supported us, chose a piece of art to take home or shared photos from the exhibition. Every conversation and kind word meant a lot. I’m going home with a full heart, fresh inspiration and lots of ideas for what comes next. ✨❤️ Thank you amazing @farnhamcreativesnetwork @brightwells_farnham and @farnhamcrafttown for giving this opportunity 💚💚💚 Thank you lovely @emmagroslinceramics @natalia.sharomova @ceramic_gardens @lydiaorangeart @abigailstrongart @studioxlaura for fantastic collaboration 🙏🫶 taken in Farnham Craft Town by @mariaborysova

It was a very girly day! 🎀 A walk in the park, a visit to a cosy photography studio in the heart of Farnham, where I had coffee, Rosie enjoyed some treats, and then the photoshoot itself. And honestly, what a dream! Rosie listened to the photographer as if she’d been modelling professionally all her life. 😂 Dreams really do come true! 🐾✨ Thank you so much @farnhamdogportraits taken in Farnham, Surrey, UK by @mariaborysova

Meet Rosie 🖤 A few favourites from her portrait session at the studio in the centre of Farnham with beautiful @mariaborysova . Those warm brown eyes and that beautiful glossy coat! We loved capturing the little changes in her expression, from a thoughtful look to a happy, open-mouthed smile. Photographing a black dog is all about the light — bringing out the texture of their coat and capturing their individual character. 📸 Would you love a portrait of your dog? We’re now taking bookings for studio sessions on 📍 West Street in Farnham, Surrey. Send us a message to find out more and book your session. 🐾 #FarnhamDogPortraits #Farnham #SurreyDogPhotographer #DogPhotography #BlackLabrador taken in Farnham, Surrey, UK by @mariaborysova

I love making art for myself. It’s the greatest joy, from that first spark of “I should do this” to the very last stroke. It’s freedom, love, and simply my way of living. But when someone else feels drawn to a particular work and it starts to speak to them, I see it as a little miracle that, somehow, we see life in a similar way. I’m so happy that @drawmeashe_ep connected with my Morning Routine and chose it for her home❤️ by @mariaborysova

The Story of a Painting Behind the Veil 70х100 Oil on canvas 🏆 Portrait prize /Farnham Art Society, Annual Exhibition 2026/ ▫️Behind the Veil is part of my Adolescence series, exploring the journey of children as they navigate separation, self-discovery and the complicated process of becoming themselves. ▫️Adolescence can be a time of hiding behind masks while trying to understand who you are and how the world works. The ice allowed me to explore this uncertainty through abstract marks, layers and colour. Teenagers can sometimes appear strange, awkward or not conventionally beautiful. But this stage is temporary. Like ice that melts, it passes — and something new emerges. ▫️In this painting, I was inspired by the rich, fractured surface of ice and the way a human face can shine through it — still recognisable, yet transformed. ▫️While painting this piece, I was also thinking about the inner journey I see unfolding in my son. by @mariaborysova
