Great to see more data emerging in women’s health, especially the use of HRT in women at increased risk of breast cancer. HRT has many benefits for women so it is definitely worth assessing the risk/benefit ratio of its use in our sisters at increased risk for breast cancer.

This cohort study of 919 women suggests that estrogen-only HRT after risk reducing removal of the ovaries is associated with lower breast cancer risk and does not appear to increase risk in those with BRCA2 pathogenic variant.

She never stopped playing doctor—she just got better at it. 💉✨
Dreams, scrubs, guitar solos, and a whole lot of care in between. 🎶🩺
Fueled by Van Halen and many late nights, this journey has been shaped by incredible mentors, partners, friends, and family, and most importantly by the patients who trusted me with their care.
Still chasing dreams. Still playing doctor.
Deeply grateful for the journey—and honored by this unexpected Hall of Fame moment. 🤍

(Warning: This post contains a photo bomb 😬)
Feeling incredibly honored to be recognized as one of Washingtonian’s Top Doctors this year. Grateful for my patients who trust me, my colleagues who inspire me, and my team who makes every day possible. Truly humbled — thank you for letting me do what I love. 💗
