I wasn’t sure whether to post about this because, on the surface, it’s just a flat. But the more I thought about it, the more I realised it feels like a little milestone.

A few days ago marked one year since I moved into this home.

Some people here know what happened before I moved. A lot of people don’t, and maybe one day I’ll share more. But what I will say is that when I moved here, I was scared. What I experienced before leaving is something I hope no woman ever has to go through, and getting out meant making a big, unplanned decision very quickly.

I was lucky. I had savings because I’d always tried to put something aside for emergencies, and I had an incredible support system in my family, friends and therapist reminding me that I could do this on my own.

And I did.

Anyone who lives in London knows that finding a flat you love AND can afford deserves its own medal. This place isn’t perfect. There are things I’d change, and a year later it’s still a work in progress. But little by little, I’ve made it mine.

These walls have seen parties, friends and family visiting, celebrations, amazing news, terrible news and me crying my heart out over someone who broke it.

But more than anything, they’ve given me something I didn’t realise I would value quite this much: peace.

Every morning I wake up in a home that makes me happy. And being able to give myself that life is something I’m really proud of.

So, happy first anniversary, little flat. You’ve become my favourite home out of all the places I’ve lived around the world. I love you very much.

One thing I will tell you all is that nobody prepares you for the day your little sister, the one you’ve literally known her entire life, decides to get married.

Today I was officially called “maid of honour” as well and oh God… the pressure is ON.

Because we live in different parts of the world, I decided to surprise her with a little bridal shower with the help of my amazing friends before she leaves London.

I still think my sister is way too young to be getting married, despite the fact that she is literally in her 30s hahaha. In my head she’s still my little sister and apparently that is never going to change.

Anyway… someone’s getting married!!!

Skincare is always more fun with your sister 😂 Testing the @mediheal_uk Collagen Eye Patches. Hydrogel patches with collagen + encapsulated retinol, designed to target fine lines, puffiness and give the skin a little plumping boost.

10–15 mins of sister chaos + skincare
