Mads & Chris ended their day the way the Italians would. Martinis at a green marble bar. Napkins flying over one long table. Nobody in a hurry to leave. There was a frutta fresca cart by the door and Montenegro on the shelf. Laughter passed down the table like a shared plate. As I love it, nothing staged, a joyful celebration of love, gathering together and living in the moment. The in-between moments carried this one. Mads & Chris brought their people down from Queensland and turned a Melbourne day into something that felt deeply personal from beginning to end. A morning getting ready with friends and family, a first look in Fitzroy Gardens with the skyline behind them, and a wander through the city together. It’s been a while since I’ve shared much about myself here — so, a little reintroduction 🤍 I’m Maria — a photographer, traveller, seeker of light and the quiet kind of magic it holds. My background isn’t in photography alone. I studied psychology, trained in ballet, and once dreamed of becoming a journalist — all of which shaped my photography vision — always about natural emotion, with an eye for body language and storytelling composition. These days, I photograph weddings, elopements, and intimate celebrations across Melbourne, Bali, and destinations beyond. Between weddings, I also take on a small number of portraits, maternity sessions, and creative brand stories — work that lets me explore softness, detail, and character in quieter ways. I work with both film and digital, blending editorial composition with documentary intuition — always searching for that balance between artistry and honesty. If you’re new here, welcome. Fashion is a massive source of inspiration for me – but it’s not just about whatever’s “in” right now. I’m drawn to connections, storylines, meaning – that’s what really connects with me. What truly inspires me is the combination of style choices and unique designs that reflect an authentic expression of self. That’s what matters to me as an artist: creating the full picture, telling the deeper story. Fashion, for me, is part of something bigger – like music, design, photography, art.
