U?, the freely accessible city program of Le Guess Who?, returns 7 & 8 November. The festival presents Utrecht’s cultural and creative diversity through live performances, exhibitions, communal dinners, talks, participatory formats and educational activities that foster social connection.In 2026, U? once again opens up space for individuals and collectives who are closely connected to a community to step into a curatorial role. The curators for this year’s edition are performance artist and ephemeral practitioner Fai Aldhukair (@faay.mp4), multidisciplinary artist, curator and researcher Jô Páscoa (@jopascoa), and programmer, artist agent and cultural curator Perry Gits (@mariah.careyy).On Saturday, 7 November, U? presents a festival playground in Utrecht’s Cartesius area. Here, the festival collaborates with several venues, such as @boot122x, @dbs_utrecht, @denijverheid, @keen_coffee Roastery, @hofvancartesius, @warmoesutrecht, @haven.loods and Studio de Kiemkamer.On Sunday, 8 November, U? presents several events throughout the city. He conducted research on the themes of loss and death, focusing on Ghanaian funeral services. In FAREWELL, he continues this research, focusing specifically on three elements: texture, temperature, and time. He examines the role these elements play and their importance when discussing death.
