✨ Happy Sunday everyone! ✨

Earlier this week I started a reading challenge and completely failed because of work and life, I couldn’t keep up with the numbers.

But on the bright side I hit 900 followers! I honestly still can’t believe it so thank you thank you THANK YOU 🫶🏼
I have set myself the goal of getting to 1k by the end if October and I would be super grateful if you see this post an shared it and engaged and if you don’t follow me, maybe hit that button?

I have been thinking as well of doing another giveaway when I get to 1k so if you have any ideas for what I could do I am all ears 🧡 by @mariainchapters

📖✨ 1000 FOLLOWERS GIVEAWAY ✨📖

First of all thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone here that helped me reach this milestone!

When I created this account at the beginning of 2026 I did it to find people who enjoyed reading as much as I do. I fell out of it for a while because life got a bit stressful but when I got into the swing of posting again I enjoyed it so much!

Trying to come up with posts every day is helping me keep my creative side alive and revisiting books I read and loved months, even years ago. Also let’s not talk about adding books to my TBR, because that might be getting out of hand 🫣

Now for the giveaway!
In my previous one I did one based on your favourite genre, but I thought it would be fun to do a colour coded giveaway🌈✨
The winner will get:
- A mystery book, stickers, sticky notes, pen and highlighter all in the colour they choose (I will probably ask for genres so you don’t get stuck with a book completely out of your confort zone)
- Selection of different teas (including my fave cocoa & peppermint. It tastes like an After Eight!)
- A bar of Galaxy chocolate
- A reading game/challenge made by me 🙈 it literally took me hours to finish so I hope whoever wins enjoys it!

HOW TO ENTER

📚 Follow me @mariainchapters
🤍 Like this post
🌈 Tag 2 friends in the comments + tell me your which colour you’d pick
✨ Share this post to your instagram stories

🇬🇧 UK ONLY

The giveaway closes next Thursday, 22nd of October, so if you enter, keep an eye on your DMs! 👀

Good luck everyone, and thank you so, so much to everyone who follows, supports and interacts with my little bookish corner 🫶

Happy publication day to Love you to Death by Jenna Levine 💀💞🎀🐈

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

I was so lucky to get an ARC copy of the book from Netgalley, and guys, @jennalevinewrites has done it again!

I remember getting an advance copy for 𝘔𝘺 𝘙𝘰𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘝𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘦, reading the whole thing during a travel day to Spain and absolutely loving it. Since then I think I have been a bit of a fangirl when it comes to her books 🙈

But now about 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘰 𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩!
This book had everything. It was funny, it had some spice (but the right amount, no woohoo scenes for the sake of the word count👌🏼), it made me very emotional at times, there is a cute orange cat and my favourite, it has some paranormal romance going on.
I think I have mentioned it in a post before but I love a ghost/vampire/any paranormal being in a romance book, but without making it weird you know?

As for the main characters, both Daniel and Lucy were perfect together. I loved their banter.
I would say Lucy annoyed me at times, but just because she is just too good and I wanted to shout at her, GIRL just take the compliment!
But if she was a real person I can see myself being friends with her. Plus we are both older sisters who love to craft!
And Daniel. Oh Daniel and his character development… I just wanted to give him a hug 🫶🏼

Another thing I loved, and I mentioned this when I reviewed 𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘴 as well, I love the fact that the whole afterlife thing is run like a business, they have their own bureaucracy and I just want to know more of how it works.

I have nothing but good things to say about this book, such an enjoyable story for this time of the year. So if you are looking for a cosy, cute, funny paranormal romance THIS is it!

I get that not every book is for everyone so here are some of my favourites and what people who hated them thought about them 📖

I tried to find some funny reviews but some of them were brutal 🫣

I finally got a copy of Grim Tidings by @authorbkborison !!
And a signed one as well, with a cute bookmark too ✨

Thank you to @tipsy_booksbideford for letting me know they had some copies left! I can’t believe they literally are down the road from me and it was my first time going there. Although with all the nice books and cute things they have it might be better for my bank account if I stay away (doubt it!)
