Sometimes the light does all the work. ✨

Walked into the gallery this morning to find Pop the Veuve by Maria L. Ribeiro catching the October sun — and absolutely sparkling.

Ribeiro’s use of diamond dust gives the work a life of its own as the light changes throughout the day. Soft and luminous one moment, pure shimmer the next.

A little Sunday morning gallery magic. 🥂✨

I built this piece by layering fine art painting and photo collage directly over the vintage cover art for a rich, multidimensional texture. To give the historic editorial style a bold, modern edge, I finished it with diamond dust that catches the light from every angle. Classic 60s high-fashion editorial, reimagined into a sparkling, tactile pop art experience.
