The Oath

Silk scarves inspired by the historic collection of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Portraying firearms that date back to the 1800s, bound together and framed by native flora, Cleome Amblyocarpa. At its core are the words ‘نفديك بالأرواح يا وطن’, a line from the national anthem carrying a message of unity and devotion.

Driven by my love for reading, I enjoy storytelling through art. This painting portrays a stylized man in local attire, prostrating in prayer, in the shape of the letter S for Salah (صلاة in Arabic). Every little element represents something.
