REGRAM from @navavoices - The NO FAKES Act of 2023 was introduced in the Senate today. The bill would give each individual American intellectual property rights over their voice, image, name, and likeness. It is a huge and important step forward in the fight for ethical use of AI. The no fakes act is one of the bills @navavoices has endorsed and has advocated for on Capitol Hill. We could not be more proud or excited to see its progress. Let’s get this bill passed! 🏒💙💛SPORTS SPORTS SPORTS!! The @buffalosabres are in round 2 of the Stanley Cup playoffs, and we decided that we wanted to be a part of this historic team’s meteoric rise. Mr. Pickles and I packed up the Buffalo-based Pendos for a thrilling adventure and we beat the Habs 4-2! I even made it on the Jumbotron with Scoot Bakula singing my heart out to Pink Pony Club during a TV commercial break. A great time was had by all, but none better than our section mate from Hamilton, Ontario who just joined the bandwagon. He was treated to a night full of my diaphragm-supported musings. Not sure if you know this, but your girl has sports O-P-I-N-I-O-N-S. I’ll remember him forever…because he took a selfie of himself on my phone when I asked him to take a picture of my fam. Behind every 90-second animation is... 10 audio layers and a lot of running around the house with a recorder.This is the Premiere timeline for our @eastersealshq “Make the First 5 Count” animation. VO, music, and a whole lot of foley.The foley was the fun part for me. I recorded a lot of it with my kids 😂. Cape swooshes, blocks tumbling, footsteps, kid laughter, and even a few lines. A 90-second animation about how kids learn through play ended up using my own kids playing as the actual sound. The layers and layers of sound help make the animation feel alive.Thank you to @eastersealshq for trusting us with this one.AND! It’s been seven years since I’ve been to a voiceover conference. That number is unfathomable to me. And I’m an extrovert’s extrovert. While COVID is not gone, it is less virulent, and I felt safe enough to try. And I’m so glad I did. @vocationconference was a phenomenal experience this year in Curaçao. Thank you to old friends and new for welcoming me (and Scoot Scoot) so warmly with open arms. I’d also like to say thank you to my amazing PT, Amy, at @naturalphysicaltherapyofea for helping me over the last 2.5 years to be ready for this moment.
