The Other Side 🌿 There’s something about the wild, slightly overgrown corners of nature that I find endlessly fascinating. The tangled grasses, soft reflections, unexpected colours and little pockets of light that appear when you look closely enough. Painted on handmade paper using a combination of acrylic and pastel, this piece is all about capturing the feeling of a place rather than every tiny detail. I love how the natural texture of the paper adds another layer to the painting, allowing colours to bleed, settle and catch in ways I could never entirely control. A little wild, a little dreamy, and somewhere between impressionism and abstraction. The Other Side is an original artwork, available in my Etsy shop. Follow the link in my bio if you’d like to give it a home. 🤍 #OriginalArtwork #ContemporaryImpressionism #ImpressionistLandscape #MixedMediaArt by @mariatitanartist
Stillwater 🌿 One of the things I love most about working on handmade paper is how beautifully unpredictable it can be. The water moves and settles differently across the surface, while the pastels catch on the natural fibres and textures in their own way. It really lends itself to a more impressionistic style of painting, where colours blend, edges soften and unexpected little details emerge. There’s something lovely about allowing the materials to have a say in the finished painting. Stillwater is an original mixed-media painting, available in my Etsy shop. You can find it through the link in my bio. 🤍 #MariaTitanArt #OriginalArtwork #MixedMediaPainting #ImpressionistArt #ContemporaryImpressionism by @mariatitanartist
The Offering 🍃 A little nod to classical European still-life painting, with ripe purple figs, rich crimson interiors, an old-fashioned blue floral plate and softly folded striped linen. I love taking simple, everyday things and giving them a little drama. The deep olive background, warm earthy tones and beautiful contrast of colours give this small original a wonderfully nostalgic, old-world feel. Painted in mixed media on handmade paper, this little piece would look gorgeous as part of a collected gallery wall or equally lovely on its own. The Offering is now available in my Etsy shop. You can find it through the link in my bio. 🤎 #OriginalStillLife #StillLifePainting #ContemporaryStillLife #FigPainting #mixedmediaartwork by @mariatitanartist
The Watcher 🐾🌾 A little piece of the old English countryside, where rolling fields, golden grasses and faithful hunting dogs evoke a quieter, more nostalgic way of life. Inspired by traditional English sporting paintings and the timeless charm of country estates, The Watcher brings together earthy tones, rich textures and a touch of old-world elegance. An original mixed-media painting, full of character and countryside charm. Now available in my Etsy shop. Follow the link in my bio to take a closer look. 🤎 #MariaTitanArt #TheWatcher #OriginalArtwork #MixedMediaPainting #EnglishCountryside by @mariatitanartist
Bridesmaid 🌸🐆 A rather serious-looking cheetah wearing an extravagant crown of flowers. Because why not? I absolutely love the contrast between her beautiful, wild expression and all those soft, romantic blooms. The dusty pinks, deep burgundies and creamy whites look fabulous against the rich olive-green background. A little bit regal, a little bit eccentric, and quite possibly about to steal the show. An original mixed-media painting on handmade paper, backed with 300gsm Fabriano for stability. 18 × 28 cm. Would look gorgeous on an eclectic gallery wall or make a lovely statement all on her own. Available now in my Etsy shop — link in bio! 🌿 #OriginalMixedMediaArt #CheetahPainting #WildlifePortrait #FloralAnimalArt #ContemporaryWildlifeArt by @mariatitanartist
Saskwatch 🌿 Not exactly what I normally paint, but why the hell not? 😂 I’ve always had a soft spot for furry creatures, and this rather magnificent fellow was far too tempting to resist. A little folklore, a fabulous olive-green background and plenty of personality. Sometimes it’s just fun to paint something completely unexpected! Original acrylic on handmade paper, mounted to 300gsm Fabriano. Just 12.4 × 18.5 cm. Available now in my Etsy shop — link in bio! 💚 #OriginalArtwork #BigfootArt #SasquatchArt #ContemporaryPainting #AcrylicPainting by @mariatitanartist
The Good Stuff 🧈🔴SOLD Because even a humble block of butter deserves its moment in the spotlight. I love taking ordinary, everyday objects and elevating them into something worth hanging on a wall. There’s beauty in the simplest things, and sometimes all it takes is a little colour, texture and a different perspective. Golden yellow butter, a vintage blue floral plate, striped linen and a wonderfully moody background. A little nostalgic, a little playful and full of character. An original acrylic painting on handmade paper, measuring just 13 × 19.6 cm. It would look gorgeous tucked into a collected gallery wall or equally lovely displayed on its own. Now available in my Etsy shop — link in bio. 🤎 #OriginalStillLife #StillLifePainting #OriginalArtForSale #FoodStillLife #ContemporaryStillLife by @mariatitanartist
