A little overweight but still slaying! My body has gone through grief, pregnancy, hospitalizations, and gaining weight due to my current meds. Nonetheless, I love my body. For now, I’ll keep doing my physical therapy and training for the London Marathon! 🤠 #mexicanbeyoncé #palmtreefestival taken in The Meritage Resort and Spa by @mariclay

This was our last lunch date at the park before the cancer spread to my mom’s bone marrow. I miss her every single day. She was the most important person in my life and watching her suffer from cancer was one of the hardest things we have ever gone through.
💫
I don’t want other families to have to go through what ours did.
💫
That’s why I want to continue supporting nonprofits working to fight cancer — and why I’ll be running the London Marathon with Team DetermiNation in support of the American Cancer Society! 🇬🇧🏃🏽‍♀️ You all know how much I love London and American Cancer Society.
💫
My goal is to raise $10,000.
💫
Every donation, share, and word of encouragement means more to me than you know. Fundraising link is in my bio ❤️
💫
And an immense thank you to everyone who has been there throughout my running journey. From half marathons, marathons, to an ultramarathon — you’ve cheered me on through so many miles. Thank you ❤️
💫
This race is the biggest one yet.
💫
This one is for mom and one of my biggest dreams come true ❤️ London Marathon I’m coming for you! 🏃🏾‍♀️ by @mariclay

Happy Father’s Day to the strongest dad I know. In 2025 I went to the emergency room 9 times. I was away from our baby for a total of 146 days. During that time Nate took care of Olivia on his own. All while learning to be a new father while I was going through mental health problems that we couldn’t understand. He also worked and took care of our home. I hope we never go through something like this again. Immensely thankful for his strength and resilience. Olivia and I are truly lucky to have him in our lives 💗 by @mariclay

2 years ago the most important person in my life passed away. There is not one day that goes by where I don’t miss her. For those that didn’t know her below is her eulogy:

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Luna, who entered into eternal rest on June 18, 2024. Born on October 16, 1964, in Mexico, Maria was a beacon of love, generosity, and resilience. Her life was enriched by a vibrant journey of 59 years, painting a canvas of memorable experiences and heartfelt connections. In 1980, Maria chose to pursue the American dream and immigrated to the United States from Mexico. She brought with her a hard-working spirit, and a heart full of dreams. These dreams came true in the form of three beautiful daughters - Maribel, Daniela, and Carina, born in 1990, 1994, and 1996 respectively. In 2022, she became a proud grandmother to Stefano Borra. She filled her home with love and the delicious aroma of Mexican food. Maria believed in helping others and passionately supported causes such as Save the Children and poverty alleviation. She opened her home to many family immigrants so that they could get settled in the US. She hired hundreds of workers and helped them build a future in California. An avid gardener, Maria derived immense joy from nurturing plants and walking her beloved dog. Maria found solace in the soothing words of The Bible, the rhythms of Juan Sebastian, and the dramatic twists of her much-loved novelas. Mariachi performances were among her favorite events, a testament to her love for music and culture. She was always on the dance floor even if she was the only one dancing.Always looking forward to her next adventure with family and friends, Maria cherished her vacations in places like Oaxaca, Puerto Vallarta, Oregon, Hawaii, Orange County, and San Francisco. Maria’s profound lessons of forgiveness and her legacy of kindness and hard work are a testament to her indomitable spirit. Her daughters, all first-generation college graduates, are a testament to her emphasis on education and determination. Maria will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family, her fur babies, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. by @mariclay

Today marks my last Electroconvulsive Therapy session! I had to do 14 rounds of ECT to get my postpartum depression and psychosis under control. ECT is a medical procedure involving brief electrical stimulation of the brain under anesthesia, used primarily to treat severe depression and other treatment-resistant mental health conditions. I had tried everything and nothing worked. I suffered for 9 whole months until I finally found something that worked for me. Every session was a long process and the recovery took 2 whole days. So glad it’s finally over. Thanks to @n8kwan and @natalieek for driving me to my long appointments and to my mother in law for taking care of Olivia while I recovered. by @mariclay

After not working out for almost 2 years, due to being pregnant and then hospitalized for mental health reasons, I tried to get back into running way too fast. I injured both knees back in February and have been doing physical therapy for a month now. Today was the first day I was able to run again and it so happened that today marked my 150th OTF class! It feels so good to be back to working out especially after dealing with postpartum depression and psychosis, which was the main cause of me not being able to workout for so long. I’m ready to continue my fitness journey. And excited to show Olivia a healthy lifestyle 😊 🏃🏾‍♀️ taken in Orangetheory Fitness Danville by @mariclay
