No words could describe the love I have for the women in my life. The ones who taught me to stand up for myself, walk with my head held high. Whose hugs are soft and caring but grip is strong whenever life gets rough. Their love moves every mountain and their care fills all the cracks. And even though saying goodbye breaks my heart every time, no pain could stand the gratitude filling my heart. [diary||11.09] by @marie.simn

Grateful for all the messy things I got to experience, emotions I got to feel and days I got to live through 💭 by @marie.simn

I really don’t know how to express what those people mean to me. The last months have been a lot of hard feelings but most of all I got to experience joy, love and gratitude in a way I never did before. Every day I woke up with such a full, peaceful heart, met so many amazing people, spent so much time in nature and ate great food (might be the key to happiness🤫) Anyways, I had a great time. Life is awesome and we all need to dance more 💃 by @marie.simn

They say home is not a place, it is a feeling, it is the people you love, the things you do, it’s yourself. Whatever it is: I am sure I found it on this small island with so many amazing people. People that care and understand, give (lots of) hugs and are just so amazingly beautiful. Don’t think I have ever felt so truly alive and full of love. Leaving feels like leaving a part of me as well. Can’t wait to come back. Endlessly grateful for how soft this place has made me 🤍 by @marie.simn

Maybe the most beautiful views aren’t meant to be on Maps, but in the honesty and rawness of daily life🤍 by @marie.simn

After India, coming to Krabi felt a bit like leaving a bubble and coming back to real world. Which made me realise how much I have outgrown the person I was just a few months ago. Marie 2 years ago would have had a blast in our party-hostel. But I kinda just realised how much more real, slow-paced and honest India felt. All the connections I made there were so deep and I felt so inspired and grounded.Krabi also showed me how freaking much I love being in nature, taking care of my body and to travel slow. Take time to explore the culture and people and take time to rest (I swear I never thought traveling could be so exhausting- all the decisions you have to make everyday, introducing yourself daily, making sure you are safe, staying on a very unrealistic budget…)Still so grateful for everything I got to see, having my Bestie by my side and learning so much about myself. 💭🤍 by @marie.simn

Pictures from Bangkok when @nele.ina and I could still get on each others nerves Didn’t get to see any of the popular places cause we were too busy💅(Spent the whole time updating each other about what happened while traveling solo, looking for vegetarian meal options (very hard) and taking uber bikes wherever we could cause we had a slight obsession with speeding through crazy traffic and getting asthma from the air pollution) but successfully started a party in an empty club at 8pm and tested a diverse assortment of 7/11 treats 🍰 by @marie.simn

After living with monkeys, Snakes and a ton of frogs for over a month - this was definitely some kind of Culture shock. Like leaving a bubble and entering a whole parallel world. Such a Crazy City. Not a very pretty one during the day but as soon as the sun goes down there are bright neon lights everywhere. by @marie.simn

I don’t even know how to put the last month into words. In no other country have I experienced so many differences. Crowded, overwhelming cities and hours of palmtrees and rice fields; excessive amounts of money and barely enough to survive. So many different, strictly followed religions. Pretty beaches and tidy houses but roads full of trash. I had days where I felt lost, frustrated and tired and then so many days where I felt light and alive and so damn happy. And oh, all the amazingly unique people I got to meet. That shared their tears with me and held me. That showed me the beauty of community and holding space for each other. That bring so much joy and happiness wherever they go. With all their dreams and fears, their tears and smiles. That felt so much like home. And the ones that I just got to meet for a day but will hopefully see again.Forever grateful for this life and all the opportunities.See you soon, India 🇮🇳 by @marie.simn
