A few years ago, I discovered this beautiful space in Bethnal Green. I fell in love with it instantly, and since then, it has been home to some of the best moments of FROM EL SUR.

All the events, all the chats, all the meetings, all the little moments, and most importantly, all the people who stepped through the door made this space what it was. I truly feel like everyone who came in left a little piece of themselves here.

Today is a sad day. 309 is up for sale, and we are all a little heartbroken to say goodbye.

Thank you so much to George and the boys upstairs for being part of these years. Thank you to all my friends who helped me create and build such a beautiful space for everyone. And thank you to every single person who came by, supported us, shared a moment, bought something, danced and chatted over these past 2 years.

This isn’t the end. We’re just taking a little break from having a permanent space while we wait to find the perfect one again. It will be very difficult to beat 309, though.

Until then, we’ll continue operating online, and we’re already working on our next pop-up — very soon!

Muchos besos y mucho amor!!!!!
