This kind of pigmentary change is more common in patients with darker skin tones and is the result of inflammation in the skin leading to deposits of melanin in the epidermis and dermis. Sometimes acne scars are an unfortunate permanent sequelae of acne—which is why I love isotretinoin so much! (Blog on this coming soon). But scarring can still be improved with a variety of approaches tailored to your skin type, kinds of scars, and down time you have available.

We are currently offering acne scar packages with a series of two collagen building and scar correction microneedling paired with natural growth factors as a part of our fall campaign. 🍂 🎃 🍁 taken in Entiere Dermatology by @marielegermd
