The ladies and I had an amazing time at Sip & Craft! 💕 We ate, laughed, learned, and created beautiful earrings, necklaces and even ornaments.

As believers, two prayers in Scripture that we should consistently pray over ourselves and our loved ones are the prayers in Ephesians 1 and Ephesians 3.

These prayers ask God to open the eyes of our understanding, give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, help us understand the immeasurable love of Christ, and strengthen us with might by His Spirit in our inner man. This is something I pray every day, and lately, more than once a day.

I first learned this from Kenneth E. Hagin. He shared that although he was already a pastor and had been preaching for years, he began praying these Ephesians prayers over himself multiple times a day. After about six months, he said the Word began opening up to him in an entirely new way. He even wondered what he had been preaching before 😂

Pray these prayers over yourself. Pray them over your spouse. Pray them over your children, your family, and the people you love. Make them personal. Put their names in the Scriptures. And pray them consistently.

Answer: Yes, if the relationship is moving toward marriage, both people should be honest about the parts of their past that could meaningfully affect the relationship.

Imagine getting married only for something significant from your partner’s past to come to light years later, or vice versa. If it was something that would have been a deal breaker for either of you, the revelation could damage trust, create resentment, and leave one person feeling misled or deceived. Honest conversations before marriage allow both people to make an informed decision about their future together and build a relationship on trust rather than surprises.
