September 7, 2026: Buddy Holly was born 90 years ago today in Lubbock, TX. Kind of bittersweet. He inspired so many artists after him with his unique talent. I grew up knowing who he was as an icon, but it was only 10 years ago that I truly discovered his music and the scope of what he contributed. Once you fully appreciate him, there is no going back. Buddy died at only 22 years old in a plane crash in 1959. But his legacy lives on. So Happy Birthday to the young man who will always be 22 and to the music that lives on forever. 🎉👓💖 #buddyholly #1950s #music by @mariepascal82
