Happy EARTH day, to my sister @marazanne

There is no one closer to me than you, and today I’m feeling just how much I miss you.

You have walked this path beside me through so much of my life — witnessing me, loving me, challenging me, standing beside me — and I don’t think I could ever fully put into words what you mean to me.

I am so incredibly proud of the life you have created for yourself. Proud of the way you keep leaning into the uncomfortable places, even when it would be easier not to. Proud of your courage, your completely unique way of being in this world, and especially your voice. You are not afraid to use it. You stand up for what is right, and you are equally unafraid to stand against what you know is wrong.

You inspire me, Marazanne. Deeply.

Eleven years younger than me, and yet there have been so many times that you have taught me, strengthened me and shown me another way of seeing things.

You are an absolute angel in my life. I miss you more than I can say, I love you beyond words, and I am so grateful that somehow, in this lifetime, I get to walk this path with YOU. by @mariettecarstens

🌱 Many hands make light work.

Yesterday in Sedgefield, our community came together to plant the beginnings of a new indigenous Pocket Forest — the Heart of the Forest.

What a beautiful turnout! Young and old got their hands into the earth, and the children especially loved the excitement of the fire brigade arriving with the water. 🚒💦

This is what community can do — stand together, plant for future generations, and leave our little corner of the world better than we found it.

And this is only the beginning. 🌿 We have more tree-planting days ahead, leading towards ROOTSONG Festival over Easter weekend in March 2027 at Well-Being Sanctuary — where trees, music, community and regeneration come together.

If you’re passionate about trees, indigenous forests and restoring our beautiful Garden Route, follow us as we expand natural wild corridors for animals to roam free.

Come plant with us. 💚

This week, I found myself in a darker place.

That familiar heaviness that visits me sometimes — something old, something ancestral — had risen again.

And somewhere in the middle of it, I went to a waterfall.

Standing on a rock in front of all that cascading water, suspended in the moment, a simple truth came to me:

Whatever arises must fall.
And whatever falls must rise.

The water reminded me that nothing stays still forever. It falls, it flows, it finds the ocean.

And something in me shifted.

I wanted to share this then, but the week was still crunchy. Sharing a celebration while I was still inside the struggle would have felt inauthentic.

So I waited.

And today, a miracle arrived.

Now I understand the waiting.

There is a moment for suspension.
There is a moment for surrender.
And there is a moment for celebration.

Today, I can dance.

And today, I can share the medicine of this waterfall from a place that feels true.

Because the heart opens differently in community.❤️‍🔥

When we come together with the same intention, our voices create one field, our separate rhythms find one pulse, and something greater begins to move through us.

With Cacao Medicina, song, prayer, and presence, we will honour the sun at its height ☀️
and the light alive within each of us.

Come together when it is time for Summer Solstice once again.

This is not about becoming someone else. This is for the remembrance of who you already are - in your wholeness.
Messy. Tender. Wild. Uncertain. Powerful. Woman.

In the safe nest of our togetherness, we call home the parts of us that tell our story. We come to wit(h)ness the aspect of ourselves that needs to be heard and held in our current relationship dynamic. By consulting our own embodied knowing, we heal the heart of our relational field.

We are rewriting our story, giving thanks for who we have been, as we usher in greater health and connection within all of our relations.

I have been feeling UNINSPIRED

Things felt cold, slow, blocked and contracted — and I think I needed to go there for a while.

But now I can feel myself stripping off winter. Layer by layer.

It’s time to come out. To find the sun. To explore other places, new adventures, new energy.

And somehow, life met me there. 🌿

Summer, I’m ready for you. by @mariettecarstens

The land has my heart. 🌿

For the last five years, it has been my primary relationship.

This sanctuary has held me through some of the hardest seasons of my life. It has witnessed my tears, my prayers, my joy and my becoming.

Today it’s dressed in green velvet after the winter rains. So peaceful. So alive. And I feel incredibly blessed to call this place home.

Sometimes nature quietly reminds us that no season lasts forever. by @mariettecarstens

Your body is your oracle, use it wisely 🔥

Spent the morning dancing for hours with my soul sister @mariettecarstens and made new beautiful connections with beautiful humans followed by a gorgeous lunch to nourish our bodies🤍🙌

“Without a shadow of a doubt, this has been one of the hardest years of my life.
Many people look at my life and imagine I have it all together, but this year has asked something different of me.
The storms that swept through the Garden Route left the earth so saturated that the water simply couldn't drain away anymore. In many ways, that's exactly how I felt. Full. Heavy. Holding more than I thought I could.
There comes a point where pushing doesn't work anymore. You surrender.
I've had to dig deeper than ever before, not to become someone stronger, but to reconnect with the quiet, steady place within me that has always been there.
That's what wholeness feels like to me today.
Not having everything sorted out.
Knowing that beneath every storm, there is still a place inside me that is untouched.
That's the space I want to invite women into this year.”
