Only one week to go until Earth Women | Already whole. 23rd to 25th October, 2026 Well-Being Sanctuary, Garden Route “This is not about becoming someone else. It is about remembering who you already are.” It's not too late to book. We'll see you soon! https://wellbeingsanctuary.co.za/event/earth-women-2026/ by @wellbeing_sanctuary
Earth Women is not another retreat designed to fix you. 23rd to 25th October, 2026 Well-Being Sanctuary, Garden Route “This is not about becoming someone else. It is about remembering who you already are.” It is a sacred gathering dedicated to remembering the truth beneath the conditioning, heartbreak, masks, expectations, protection and survival strategies that have shaped your life. You are already whole. Messy. Tender. Wild. Uncertain. Powerful. Whole. This weekend is an invitation to step out of the noise and into a circle of women who are willing to be real. To be witnessed. To be seen. To tell the truth. To reclaim the parts of themselves that have been hidden, silenced or forgotten. Held by the beauty of the Well-Being Sanctuary, surrounded by indigenous forest, open skies, firelight and the healing waters of the lake, we gather in ceremony, movement, sisterhood and transformation. https://wellbeingsanctuary.co.za/event/earth-women-2026/ by @wellbeing_sanctuary
“This is not about becoming someone else. It is about remembering who you already are.” 23rd to 25th October, 2026 Well-Being Sanctuary, Garden Route Every Earth Women is different, but there is a rhythm to the weekend that I protect. We always begin with the Earth/Sweat Lodge because I have found it to be the most powerful way to open the portal that holds us for the weekend. On Friday, women arrive exactly as they are. There is a light lunch, an opening circle, cacao and intention setting. And then we step into the womb. You arrive carrying your default world with you, the blockages, responsibilities, stories, difficulties, everything the mind has decided things mean. You sweat. You pray. You celebrate. You let go. It is an acceleration, not into somebody else, but into more of yourself. Our evenings are designed to nurture a good night’s sleep as well as inspire some good fireside conversations. With respect to everyone’s desire to feel fully rested in the valley, we enjoy a good boogie until 10PM before quieting down by the fire side for unplugged acoustic music, songs, story time and slow connection. The word “retreat” intrigues me. We often think it means a lovely weekend away, taking a break from normal life, feeling better for a few days, then returning to the same routine. Because most of the time, we’re addressing symptoms. Burnout. Headaches. Irritation. Anger with family. Avoidance of intimacy. Feeling disconnected. Living a life that doesn’t feel like ours. Earth Women is different because it’s not just about taking a break. We retreat from what we’ve become in our busy, modern world and return to something timeless. The Earth Woman. Bare feet. Bellies. Bodies. Maiden, mother, wise woman, crone. Women who understood the forest and cycles of the moon. Women who knew how to grow food. Women who created life and knew the Earth as home. And women have always been the home too. The home of family, extended family, community. At Earth Women, we retreat from the default to return to our Earth Woman setting. That’s the difference. When you leave, you’re not just refreshed from a weekend off. You’ve embodied something. You’ve felt it. You’ve been witnessed in it. You’ve experienced yourself differently. And you take that woman home with you. The retreat creates a pause from all the striving so we can harvest wisdom from all we’ve lived. And there’s another meaning of retreat I love. It’s also a real treat. Caring for yourself like this is a real treat. It’s delicious. Sensual. Pleasurable. There’s bliss and freedom in remembering that being a woman isn’t just about what we carry and do for others. There is pleasure in being alive. And we get to remember that too. https://wellbeingsanctuary.co.za/wbs-events/ by @wellbeing_sanctuary
As a behaviour therapist, I’ve always been fascinated by how humans change. We think we have problems. Often, what we actually have are patterns. And when those patterns hurt, we decide there must be something wrong with us. Earth Women reminds me every year that we are not broken. When we step out of our default world and into nature, into our bodies and into a circle of women, something shifts. We get quiet enough to see ourselves differently. And the other women become our mirrors. Their courage reminds us of ours. Their vulnerability gives us permission to soften. Their beauty reflects our own back to us. Perhaps my biggest lesson is that I am not a teacher. I am in the circle too. Every woman arrives with her own wisdom. Every year I receive as much as I give. Every year I leave changed. Vulnerability is not the weakness of the feminine. It is one of her greatest strengths. 🌱 Many hands make light work. Yesterday in Sedgefield, our community came together to plant the beginnings of a new indigenous Pocket Forest — the Heart of the Forest. What a beautiful turnout! Young and old got their hands into the earth, and the children especially loved the excitement of the fire brigade arriving with the water. 🚒💦 This is what community can do — stand together, plant for future generations, and leave our little corner of the world better than we found it. And this is only the beginning. 🌿 We have more tree-planting days ahead, leading towards ROOTSONG Festival over Easter weekend in March 2027 at Well-Being Sanctuary — where trees, music, community and regeneration come together. If you’re passionate about trees, indigenous forests and restoring our beautiful Garden Route, follow us as we expand natural wild corridors for animals to roam free. Come plant with us. 💚 #PocketForest #TreePlanting #Sedgefield #Ecolution #ROOTSONG #WellBeingSanctuary #IndigenousForest #CommunityInAction by @wellbeing_sanctuary
I've always been intrigued by what makes a space feel safe, likely because I know what happens when it doesn't. If I don't feel safe, I shut down and rely on my defense mechanisms. Being the firstborn and having a demanding childhood contributed to this. I was young when I learned to care for others, even trusted with newborns at seven, which brought me joy. I never envisioned my work as women's work. Like many women, I've spent much of my life in my masculine, focusing on work and achievement. But where can women put that burden down? Five years ago, I created my first women's retreat, with my daughter involved. I discovered what happens when women are allowed to let go. We reconnect with our bodies, soften, and remember our unique power. Women have a profound impact on each other. When we gather intentionally, something transformative occurs. That's why my facilitator team is crucial. The retreat begins with our connection to ourselves and each other, creating an energetic home for the guests. When a woman arrives, she can let her guard down. She needn't abandon her masculine; it's essential for action and protection. But for this weekend, she can embrace her feminine. Balancing these forces empowers us to create our lives, transforming dreams into reality, a beautiful relationship, home, family, work, or adventure. This is why I hold this space. https://wellbeingsanctuary.co.za/event/earth-women-2026/ by @wellbeing_sanctuary

Small gatherings allow us to all connect deeply with those on the land, while enabling us to tread lightly as we dance through the meadow and swim in the lake. We care for the Well-Being Sanctuary environment and are committed to managing the impact of our footprint on the land. Thus, ticket sales are limited to a maximum of 600. Importantly, please note: we do not sell tickets at the gate! wellbeingsanctuary.co.za/event/summer-solstice-2026/ by @wellbeing_sanctuary
The Summer Solstice Tribe gathered for the first time on the land 10 years ago. Every year since then, we've arrived days before the peak of the sun's trajectory; as a community, we resourced ourselves from nature, connected with the earth and co-created a magical experience. Celebrating the soul fire of the sun before its descent to shorter days. The gathering has grown over the years, and for the 10th Anniversary we invite all our existing tribe members as well as new family to join us for an unforgettable celebration!
