CJ wrapped up his first cross-country season at Freeman HS with a 14th-place finish at Districts running JV and a NEW PR of 20:19! 🏅💪🏽

Beyond the races and personal records, it’s the memories made with teammates, the support of family, and the growth along the way that make this season so special! So proud of you, CJ!

So, we did a thing today! After searching for a new church home for the past few months, our family has officially chosen Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, and it is well with our souls! We love everything about this church. Our children love it, we love Dr. Cosby, and we already feel so welcomed by the entire Wheeler family. Growing one race at a time! Last week, I finished in 16th place, and this week, I finished in 5th! I’m proud of my progress, but I know there is still more work to do. Every race is another opportunity to improve, push myself, and get closer to my goals. Well, the time has finally come for me to send my babies off to school! I officially have a kindergartener, a 5th grader, and a 9th grader. As for me, I’m beginning my 12th year of teaching (I think)! 🍎📚

This year is especially bittersweet because my oldest and I have officially parted ways after being at the same school since Pre-K. I only cried three times this morning… and I’m not saying they were crocodile tears, but you weren’t there to see them, so we’ll never really know! 😂🥹 It is also Carter and Madi’s last year at school together forever. No one will ever be at school together. My heart is filled with so many emotions.

CJ couldn’t join us for our annual back-to-school group photo because he had XC practice at the break of dawn—welcome to high school life! 🏃🏾‍♂️
